Finding a Hawaii timeshare resale can be more difficult than finding other types of time share resales. This is because they are so much in demand. It is not just that they are in demand by ordinary folk wanting a nice place to go on holiday. This is one of the most desired vacation destinations of celebrities and people that have billions of dollars in their bank accounts.
The reason that timeshares in Hawaii are so sought after is because buying a new timeshare, never mind a condo or beachfront property, usually costs millions of dollars. This means that ordinary folk must wait a few years for an owner to dump a timeshare so they can get one at a much lower price.
Another thing you will notice when shopping for timeshares on this tropical island that is studded with volcanic mountains and beaches with big waves is that it is hard to get a condo or vacation property that is not out of season. This is because once a time share owner gets an on season time share it is worth its weight in gold as it can be rented out to tourists for a lot of money. Like many tropical islands Hawaii can be quite rainy and wet for about eight months of the year so you really only have six weeks or so of optimum blocks of time to spend there on vacation.
Hawaii is always going to one of the most popular places to vacation in the world and that accounts for the high price of its time shares and why Hawaii time share resales are so hard to come by. Hawaii has its own exotic cuisine, Tiki cocktail bars, live volcanoes, tropical jungles, exotic birds and miles and miles of beach. As it is also in the middle of the ocean it also boasts spectacular skyscapes. Hawaii can give an experience in nature that is like no other and that is why timeshares are so high in price.
The best place to look for Hawaii time share resales are in Canadian and U.S. newspapers as well as newspapers from places such as Dubai (where all the rich people can afford a Hawaiian vacation property.) You can also occasionally find them online or through a real estate agent that specializes in luxurious properties or vacation properties. Finding a Hawaiian real estate agent and communicating with him or her by telephone or online about what you are looking for might be a good idea.
Still renting a Hawaii time share might be easier than actually trying to find a Hawaii timeshare resale as it is probably a lot cheaper. Both rentals and timeshares can be relatively hard to find unless you want to visit the Islands during the rainy season.
Keep in mind too that whether you are renting or buying a time share you might have to go through an approval process that involves some deep investigation into your bank account or what you do for the living. Many of the Hawaii time shares are located in gated communities and they are very careful about who they let into the fold as is typical of vacation places that are considered to be the stomping grounds of the rich and famous.
