In a recent post I shared some tips on how to organize for Christmas now. Today I'm going to share some more organizing tips you can consider implementing now so you can enjoy a stress-free holiday.
Have Groceries Delivered
If you can order groceries by phone or via the Internet and have them delivered, do so. It's a huge time saver.
Coping With Clutter
Untidy rooms getting you down? Get in the habit of closing the door and hanging a festive decoration on it.
Prioritize Your Cleaning
Sit on the couch and give your family or living room the once over. Tidy, vacuum and dust everything that's visible and leave deep-cleaning for a cold day in January. Ditto for all other main rooms your home.
Yes, Please Bring Something
When people ask "May I bring something?" say yes. And let them know what you need even if it's just some dinner rolls, pickles or a bag of ice.
Start a Christmas Folder
Take some time now to clip out Christmas craft ideas, helpful hints and recipes from your favorite newspapers and magazines. Implement some of the ideas and then file the clippings in a Christmas idea folder for future reference. Next year, when the holidays come around again, you'll be even further ahead with a bunch of new ideas at your fingertips. Plus, you'll save a ton of time not having to individually hunt down all those good ideas you remember reading about last Christmas.
Stay tuned for more Christmas organizing tips in the coming weeks. Also check back for any organizing posts you may have missed.
