Tips on Pubic Hair Body Waxing

Tips on Pubic Hair Body Waxing

Does the idea of the results of pubic hair body waxing excite you while the fear of the process sends shivers down your spine? Believe it or not, this is actually an affordable and effective form of hair removal that leaves the skin feeling amazingly smooth afterwards.

The price isn’t typically at the cash register but at the point of your current level of pain tolerance. The good news is that there are a few things you can do that will make the process a little (well not painless) but less painful. If you are hoping to somehow alleviate the ‘ouch!’ factor involved in body waxing, perhaps the following advice can help.

1) Pain killers: Taking some sort of pain reducer thirty minutes to an hour prior to your treatment can help. It is even better if you choose something such as ibuprofen, which contains a mild anti-inflammatory as well (Midol is another good pain killer to take in this particular situation).

2) Deep Breathing: Breathing exercises help you relax; relaxing loosens even the hair follicles, which will lead to a much less painful experience.

3) Numbing spray: You simply must love those thoughtful souls that came up with this product. These sprays will numb the skin ever so slightly so that some of the sting is taken out of the waxing process.

4) Press immediately: Pressing on the skin immediately afterwards is a great way to use pressure in order to reduce the pain. The key is to press immediately after the hair has been removed.

5) Ice: Rubbing ice over the area that has been stripped will not only reduce the pain but also the swelling that can go along with it while also protecting and soothing your overwrought nerves.

Some other things you may want to keep in mind are the following. You should use hard wax rather than soft wax on sensitive pubic areas and pregnant women or those approaching their cycles will typically be more sensitive to pain than under normal circumstance. If your hair is coarse you may also feel a little more pain than those with very fine hair along with some possible bleeding.

You should also mention any medications you are taking as some medications make the skin more likely to rip as part of the procedure, which will cause severe pain and damage to the skin. You should not have skin waxed within a week of an exfoliation in order to avoid the same situation mentioned above. You should also take care not to wax over moles as well.

You can elect to use a hair inhibitor, which will slow down the re-growth of your hair and also may make your hair finer and easier to remove when it grows back. Only you can decide if the pain of waxing is worth the way it makes you feel once the pain has been forgotten. Many will respond with a resounding yes while others are still debating with themselves. Hopefully the tips above will help make your next visit a less painful experience. For more tips on pubic hair removal, check out www.ShavingPubicHairGuide.com.
