Six Ways to Increase your Daily Exercise

I've been trying to get myself to do at least some sort of exercise every day. My plan was to go jogging every day before going in to work at the office. Sitting down all day long at a desk, looking at a computer for 8 hours is definitely not very energizing and not very healthy. That's why I need to get myself motivated to exercise each and every sigle day. Maybe you find yourself in a similar situation. Well let's go over the options we have to make exercising a daily part of our lives, without sacrificing anything too important.

The first step is to admit that you should be exercising more often than you currently are. The next step is to do something about it. You can do many things and most of them are really easy too! Here is a list of small things you can do every day to improve your health, your fitness and just feel much better at the end of the day:

-Walk or bicycle to work. If that's not an option, park your car further and walk. Or stop at a further away bus stop and walk the rest of the way.

-Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Now the first time you do this, you will feel the burn, trust me. But by the third or fourth day you'll be feeling good, and your muscles will have gotten used to being pushed and will begin to tone up.

-While watching television, don't just sit down on your couch. Get up and do some crunches on the ground and maybe some push ups too. If you don't want to get distracted from your program, do it during commercials!

-If you're waiting in line, whether it's at the bank or at your local grocery store, try squeezing your stomach muscles. If you want to tone other muscles, you can squeeze your thighs or your glutes. Don't waste time in line, make it productive and make yourself feel good!

-Go for a walk after dinner. Take your significant other, your kids, your friends or your pets along with you! A walk can be extremely rewarding and will burn fat off easily because doing exercise that does not use sugars as fuels digs into your fat reserves and burns those! You can also go for your walk in the morning, during lunch a break and a refresher for your day, or anytime you feel! If you're going alone, consider bringing an mp3 player such as an iPod or maybe a CD player. You will find that your time spent walking can be twice as productive by listening to audiobooks. You could even teach yourself a second language by listening to certain CDs, such as the Pimsleur language program.

-Join an activity class such as Yoga, Pilates, Tennis, Badminton, Martial Arts, you name it! These classes are the best motivators since you get to know the people who also take the class. Having a friend who is also interested in your activity means you are more likely to attend the class, work out more and feel better! Motivate each other to work out together. Have get togethers with other students of the class, and keep your friendship bonds strong. Soon you will be attending classes regularly and looking forward to that small amount of time every day that you get to work out and enjoy the company of your friends.

I hope all of these tips will be useful. You should try to do at least to three of these, to get the most out of your health and your body.
