Hair styles change every so often, leaving us all with many more great options for styling our hair. The options for updo hair styles have recently expanded to include a new type of updo that will work for just about anyone. And these are updos that you can create on your own.
Beward there is a new Updo Hair Style in town and it is taking on many different forms.
The Ponytail Updo
It used to be that you woud wear a ponytail to go work out or to maybe do some cleaning. But now, the ponytail has taken on a brand new role---as a sophisticated updo hair style.
1. The High Ponytail Do-- This ponytail is placed very high on the crown area, almost on top of the head. The height helps to create the formal look and allows the hair to flow down the back of the head. This type of ponytail also works for the double ponytail, where one ponytail is stacked on top of the other for a great look. Beware of the scalp soreness though. This type of style will create extra pull on your hair and cause headaches or scalp soreness.
2. The Poufy Ponytail Do--This ponytail has a lot of height and volume in it. The hair that is secured in the ponytail is gently backcombed (teased) to create the extra poofy look. This type of style works great for those with curly hair.
3. The High Crown Do-- This ponytail features a poufy crown area for the appearance of height. To create this look the hair in the crown area is gently backcombed before it is pulled back into a ponytail.
4. The Unique Twist Do--This pontail features unique wraps and twists around the ponytail to create a unique design. For example, small sections of hair in under a ponytail can be wrapped around the ponytail holder and pinned in place.
