Celebrities continue to give us multiple examples of how to wear a glamorous hair style. It seems like they are trend setters, dictating the hair fashion for the next few months. Red carpet hair styles require weeks if not months of planning, trial and preparation.
Is you hair style worthy of a red carpet event?
Red Carpet Hair Styles
Does you hair style make you feel like a million dollars? If not, then maybe you need a red carpet makeover. What is that, you ask?
A red carpet makeover is when you look at dozens of different celebrity red carpet hair styles photos and then copy your favorite parts for your very own hair style.
For example, let's say you like the side-swept bangs of one hair style, the long, gorgeous curls of another hair style, and the partial updo of yet another style. You can actually combine all of these favorite features into one unique hair style.
The best place to start with any makeover is to determine your face shape. Every aspect of a hair style depends on face shape as a starting point. Getting just the right hair style will depend greatly on your face shape and how your hair is styled. Another consideration is your body type. If you are very tall, a very short hair style will probably not suit you well. Likewise, if you are very short, you wouldn't want to go with a super long hair style.
To determine your face shape, pull all the hair back off your face, and look into a mirror. Use something removable, like a bar of soap, to trace the outline of your face in the mirror. Then stand back and look at the shape you have drawn. There are 6 basic face shapes: Round, Oval, Square, Long, Heart, Diamond. Most face shapes are a combination of one or two of these shapes.
Next you need to start looking at photo examples of all the red carpet hair styles today. From there you can mix and match and create your own personal look by combining hair style features that flatter your face shape.
