Is cancer a deficiency disease? Dr. William Donald Kelley, author of the book "One Answer to Cancer," believed that cancer is nothing more than a simple deficiency disease. The book tells not only his own victory over a supposedly "terminal" pancreatic cancer but also the theoretical explanation of the procedures he used in getting well.
Dr. Kelley's anti-cancer system of Metabolic Ecology provides a five-point battle plan. The five equally important segments are :
* The anti-cancer diet
* Supplemental nutritional support
* Body detoxification
* Neurological stimulation
* Emotional and spiritual harmony
Dr. Kelley believes that the greatest cause of the deficiency of pancreatic enzymes is an excess of dietary protein. The pancreas, he said, simply cannot manufacture enough enzymes to digest heavy intake of milk, cheese, meat, fowl, fish, eggs, and have enzymes left over to digest the foreign protein he called cancer.
