Day 5 turned out to be a fresh food day. I loaded up on lots of salad, peppers, tomatoes and more.

Find out some of my secrets techniques I used to combat occasional hunger pains.

Day 5 of 42 day diet and fitness program

Staying within a specified daily calory intake can be very difficult, especially when you seem to be constantly hungry.

Here are some hings I did throughout the day to take care of that constant hungry feeling:

*I ate a piece of string cheese, pulling off small little pieces of cheese one at a time. This way, it seems like you are eating a lot more. Follow the cheese with a few glasses of water, maybe some green tea. The string cheese usually has around 70 calories

*Added lots of fresh veggies to my salad. I cut up red peppers, green peppers, red onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and added them to my salad. I added a low calorie balsimic vinagrette to the salad as well. The salad really seemed filling.

*I cut a small sliver of apple pie, and added a small spoon full of ice cream. I know what you're thinking---apple pie is not a diet food. But I really had a craving for it, so I cut a very small piece and went with it. I had a small amount of apple pie and was satisfied.

* Have a cup of hot green tea after every meal and before you feel like pigging out. For some reason, it tends to suppress that hungry feeling just for a little bit.

I am still calculating the total caloric intake for yesterday. I will be posting daily totals evey week at http://www.weightlossadvisory.com , so if you want to check my daily progress, check back every 5 days or so.

My next post covering the 6 week diet and fitness program will cover days 6-10.

Until then!
