When you are at eating out, it may be difficult to determine exactly how much you are eating.
3 oz. portion of protein--like a piece of chicken is about the equivalent of a deck of cards.
1 Cup of rice--is about the size of your fist.
Half Size Portions--Also, if you must have a piece of cake, or that donut that is just sitting there with your name on it---then just try to eat half a piece of cake or just half of the donut.
This way you can satisfy your sweets craving a little bit, but still focus on limiting your calorie intake.
