Erectile dysfunction is the commonest male sexual disorder that brings major turmoil in sexual relationship between partners. There is a lot of social stigma around impotence. Men are reluctant coming forward to get appropriate treatment for impotence. "Failure to achieve erection" is looked upon as something inferior. Research shows that major reason behind martial discord is due to sexual dysfunction (like erectile dysfunction) in man.

As a kid I can remember many vacations where I was stuck in a hotel room with major sunburn. One time I can remember my eyes swelling shut from so much sun. Of course back then, they didn't have all these high SPF sun tan lotion products. About the highest you could get was SPF 8.
Now there are many SPF products available, but there is still the risk of getting a sunburn.

Chipped Filling? Chipped Tooth?

Do you know of anyone that enjoys going to the dentist? Usually kids like to go to the dentist until they find out they have a cavity. Then the excitement is all gone.
There are some people that do anything to avoid the dentist, including let their teeth rot. Personally, I would rather go to the dentist to prevent and get rid of all cavities to avoid the nasty root canal/crown procedure. Not only does it hurt your wallet, but it isn't a pleasant experience.
The other day a part of my tooth chipped off, with maybe a small portion of the filling that was in the tooth.

Traditional alcohol treatment programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) offer abstinence as the only answer to problem drinking. Another approach is Moderation Management. Founded by Audrey Kishline of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and based on the AA support group model, Moderation Management is based on the idea that people can control their behavior and learn to drink in moderation.

Keeping a positive attitude is so important for your mental as well as physical health. The more positive your thoughts, the more likely you will be happier and healthier.
I read recently a review of a book on the secrets of happy people (sorry I can't remember the title of the book) and it said one of the most common characteristics of happy people was the positive attitude. These people looked at everything in a different way than their unhappy counterparts.
Recently I overheard a soccer coach talking about how to get several of his players to make more goals. Every time one of the players had the ball and was about to make a goal, she would inevitably kick it right to the goalie.
Despite his continuous repetition of "Don't hit it to the goalie", these players would keep on doing the same thing. Until........

A child with low self esteem will find it hard to thrive well in life. As an adult later on, he can find himself lacking in self confidence in almost everything that he does. It may be his work, relationships, making friends or dealing with difficulties. He simply finds that he is unable to do well in many of these areas. Building self esteem, hence, is an especially important part in the early developmental years of a child.

Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted, urogenital disease that frequently goes un or misdiagnosed. As a result of this under diagnosing many individuals suffer from Adult Inclusion Conjunctivitis(A.I.C.). The reason for the misdiagnosing is the lack of desire by many eye doctors to raise the sensitive subject of sexually transmitted diseases. Often, these individuals may be reluctant to be forthright about their sexual encounters since they are extramarital in nature.

Binge Eating During Christmas

It is only typical that we indulge too much on food and drink every once in a while, especially during Christmas celebrations. But if you have an eating disorder, such as binge eating, you will find it hard to resist the temptation of eating compulsively at Christmas dinners and parties. In fact, holiday celebrations only present a number of opportunities for you to binge. Holiday food has the added appeal of being specially prepared and decidedly tasty, and it's hard even for somebody who does not have an eating disorder to fight the temptation to overindulge.

Alternative practices involve the use of self hypnosis for reprogramming the mind. Self hypnosis is a conscious decision, and you decide ahead of time where and when to focus your attention. In the past, many people are skeptical about hypnosis. Their skepticism is based on what they have been seeing on magic shows. However, more and more people are beginning to know about the benefits of self hypnosis.
Self hypnosis can be used to help you lose weight or to quit smoking. Other benefits include dealing with pain control, habit disorders, addictions, stress, self-esteem issues, sports enhancement, improving memory and concentration, and controlling symptoms from diseases. Self hypnosis is a health tool as it also allows you to manage your own health of body and mind at optimum levels. It can bring about changes brought on by daily stressors, accelerate learning and help you attain your goals more easily.

This is the correct version. Another was uploaded by accident!
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), addictions, and abuse can often occur together in the same way that narcissism, addictions, and abuse--what I write about on my website--so often do. The things is, while we saw many Vietnam War veterans who were PTSD sufferers end up having problems with addictions or engaging in domestic violence, this isn't a scenario we're destined to repeat when our troops come marching home from Iraq or Afghanistan. After all, when soldiers returned from Vietnam, we didn't know about PTSD.

How To Recognize Food Allergy Symptoms
Posted on Dec 12, 2007 at 07:32 PM by Evelyn Lim
| Comments (0)
Have you ever wondered if the discomfort that you are experiencing came as a result of food allergy symptoms? Food allergy symptoms usually show up within minutes after eating. However, sometimes, it can take up to a few hours, for their effects to show. Usually, those that occur right away can be easily identified while those that took hours to appear, may be misdiagnosed as other problems or lumped into a 'catch all' diagnosis that is not clearly understood.
Food allergy symptoms can be mild or severe. Some food allergy symptoms are merely uncomfortable, while others can be debilitating or even life threatening. For example, a mild reaction may give you a skin rash that disperses over time. Conversely, a severe reaction can cause severe inflammation and the throat can swell up to the point that you cannot breathe.

Cause Of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Linked To Stomach Virus?

The cause of chronic fatigue syndrome is not completely known. Researchers remain baffled for years. Sufferers have obvious symptoms, and yet the cause has remained elusive. More recently, however, new discoveries have been made and researchers may have linked a stomach virus with the disorder.
The stomach was first proposed as a potential cause of chronic fatigue syndrome because digestive difficulties often accompany the disorder. Many people reporting chronic fatigue syndrome also have symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and other digestive complaints. Researchers decided that these symptoms warrant further investigations to find out the cause of chronic fatigue syndrome.

You may recall amino acids from elementary science as "the building blocks of life." In fact, amino acids make up 75% of the body and are required for every chemical reaction and every bodily function. So where do these amino acids come from? Ten amino acids come from our bodies naturally (alanine, asparagines, aspartic acid, cysteine glutamic acid, glutamine, glycine, praline, serine and tyrosine). The other ten are derived from properly digested food (arginine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan and valine). Unfortunately, these acids are not like our cell phone plans - they don't roll over. We need to constantly replenish our essential amino acids supply.

What may be on your Christmas wishlist is that you can drink, feel merry and not suffer from a hangover the next day. It is true that there is no instant cure for a hangover. Your body needs time to rest so that it can celar the alcohol from your system. Fortunately, there are some home remedies that can help treat your hangover and have you out of bed and feeling well by mid-morning.
As far as possible, try to avoid taking pillkillers. Avoid aspirin and ibuprofen, since these can further irritate your already irritated stomach lining and/or cause further liver damage.

The Link Between Allergies And Leaky Gut Syndrome
Posted on Nov 1, 2007 at 08:09 PM by Evelyn Lim

In a normal digestive system, the cells that line the intestines "draw up" the materials that our body needs from the food passing through and it leaves what we don't need. When you have leaky gut syndrome, the body "draws up" too much food, including undigested or partially digested food, and this food enters the bloodstream. If the liver is unable to process this food in a quick manner, then the body will begin to produce antibodies against these food molecules, simply because the food is considered foreign to the body. This process causes an entirely new problem for you to deal with. What causes leaky gut syndrome?

Prevent A Size Zero Eating Disorder

There are several types of eating disorders, but the most common are anorexia nervosa, where you find a person eating practically nothing at all and excessively losing weight, and bulimia, where you see a person go binge-eating and then forcing the body to vomit all the food out after eating.
A catch-all category, EDNOS for eating disorders not otherwise specified, covers a host of deviant eating behaviours for which no specific names have been designated but otherwise have a common theme: an inordinate and obsessive concern about food and body. EDNOS thus includes over-exercising in fear of gaining weight, overly concerned with thinness, yo-yo dieting, over-emphasis on repeated cleansing.

FEAR IS A DEADLY VIBRATION

FEAR IS A VIBRATION
Every psychological mood is itself a rate of vibration. Every psychological image including a dream image, is also a vibratory 'entity'. Every vibratory 'entity' comes into existence around a core of conditioned energy.
Every living thing both physical and not physical is a vibration. And each of these vibrations is 'alive' in its own sense.
The moment we become afraid of anything our vibratory energy is reduced because we become afraid. Then our defenses begin to crumble.
Fear causes that which we fear to come upon us. Like attracts like according to the laws of attraction. Do you realize that just talking about cancer, even if you think it is positive like "..we must eradicate cancer..." attracts cancer? The world must stop talking about cancer altogether and it will go away like a mad dog.

Your Want To Do List

HOW TO CONVERT A TO-DO LIST, TO A WANT TO DO LISTS
I don't like "Have To's". I LOVE "Want To's". The fewer have to's, and the more wan -to's I have in a day, the happier I am. The happier I am, the more energy I have, so upping my want to's appears to be a good thing for my life.
Here is a technique that works well for me.
I am assuming that you write To-Do lists. Let's say you have a list of 20 items that need to be done in the next week. A few of these items are essential, and have to be done by a certain time, whether you feel like doing them or not. These are usually things like paying bills, buying food, and going to work. My advice is to just do them, assume they won't be fun, and be rid of them. This article is really about the non time-critical items that remain.
Now, you could approach your list by using logic and discipline, going down line by line, and making yourself complete every item until you reach the bottom... Yuk.

The Anatomy of Risks

The Anatomy of Risks
Comfort Zones keep us safe from RISK. Taking a risk is when we do something new and we don't know how it's going to turn out. Period. If you are human, that stirs up anxiety and fear of the unknown. The "What If" Thinking often begins: "What if this turns out badly?", "What if I end up worse off than I am now?", and the big one, "What if I fail?" which is really "What if I'm not good enough."
If you get to this point in considering taking a risk, and then stop, you get to run back into your comfort zone. Good news, safety, whew!
The bad news is that after the initial relief, you get to feel the nagging discontent begin yet again. And that discomfort grows, and grows, as safety blurs into suffering. When the suffering gets big enough, you may consider risk again. I have seen people bounce between risk consideration and safety over and over again. It's exhausting, and every time they watch themselves run back to the safety zone, their self esteem and confidence gets smaller and smaller.
Nobody can make you take risks. It's your life and your choice.

Back to School
It's back to school time! I've been out of school for 22 years, and I still cringe when I see those signs go up in the stores. I then remind myself that I don't have to go to school, and that feels better. But it also means that summer is drawing to a close, and my favorite season is once again ending. Lastly, it marks the ending of my north woods camping season, which is good news/bad news for me. I will close up the beloved lake front property, and have to say goodbye to my woods for 7 months. The good news is that I get to live in just one place again, rather than spending time in two different states, with lots of driving. That gets really confusing after awhile. One summer I actually slept in 4 different places; what a mess. But now I can settle in, clean up, and know where all my stuff is for awhile.

Your Comfort Zone
What is a "Comfort Zone" anyway?
Wikipedia defines it as the following: "A comfort zone denotes that limited set of behaviors that a person will engage without becoming anxious. Alternatively denoted as a "plateau" it describes that set of behaviors that have become comfortable, without creating a sense of risk."
Your Comfort Zone is the way you do things, the way you think, the things you believe. It is familiar territory, and it is where you feel totally SAFE.
It is also where you will get the same results you always get, again SAFE. Safe is good, right?

Why Aren't You Doing Your Art?

WHY AREN'T YOU DOING YOUR ART?
Humans are creative creatures. Period. Everyone is born with a unique creative talent. Your soul knows exactly which creative gift you came brilliantly equipped to contribute to the planet. I suppose in a perfect world, we would all grow up free to express our passions; with parents encouraging us all the way to truly be our unique little selves. But a perfect world would be boring, so the Universe spices things up by making it more challenging than that. Our caregivers and society encourage us to 'become' something that will pay well, or push us to a career that they wished they had had, or, worst of all, tell us that what we are or what we want is wrong or crazy, impractical or impossible.
That might work except for one thing; your soul never forgets what you came to do, and it doesn't stop reminding you with that little nagging feeling.

Change.....It can be brutal. I guess the hardest one is the death of a loved one. There are also lovely little changes like divorce, jobs going away, kids leaving home, new bosses, moving, the list goes on.
But wait a minute. If there wasn't change, you'd stay an infant, and never grow up. You would never go to kindergarten and start school. You'd never get married, nor have kids. So ok, change can be good.
What is it about change that makes human beings so nervous? Well, there's definitely uncertainty. I don't like that much. But what is it really that rattles us so?

Well, it just might be time to awaken to your own codependency. Yes, it might be time to take action to change yourself so someday soon, you'll be codependent no more.
Now ladies, it might make for a nice country song to sing about standing by your man, and despite the fact he engages in problematic behaviors regularly. But in real life, you have to open your eyes to reality. Indeed, you need to open your eyes to the fact you can not control things; you can not make them turn out how you desire.

Anxiety and depression are the most common mental illnesses affecting more than 35 million Americans each year. Symptoms of anxiety and depression are complex emotional disorders and they do not mean you are going insane. They are among the most treatable health conditions that we suffer. No specific cause for depression and anxiety has been identified. It is believed that the emotional and physical symptoms of anxiety and depression stem from a chemical imbalance that exists in the brain. Both anxiety and depression are frequently treated in much the same manner, which may explain why the two disorders are so often confused. When you're suffering the torment of stress, anxiety and depression, you want relief and you want it fast.

When it comes to adult acne many people are not only embarrassed about the condition of their skin but have tried a ton of different things to get rid of acne once and for all.

Surgery should not be the first option to end snoring as it is an invasive procedure that may involve a slight risk of complications. Try singing - a recent discovery that apparently is reporting good success rates.
A study in the United Kingdom tried to see if singing exercises could be used to strengthen the palate, make it less flabby and so less likely to vibrate and cause snoring. The study involved twenty people who snored nightly. Their sleeping and snoring patterns were monitored for seven consecutive nights. Their snores were also voice recorded.
