Where to Find Pure Hoodia Gordonii Supplements on the market?

Posted on May 29, 2009 at 06:25 AM by Preethy Sharma | Comments (0)

Due to huge demand for Hoodia Gordonii supplements in the diet industry, the supply of the rare South African succulent is surpassing the demand. This has made acquiring pure Hoodia Gordonii from South Africa very costly. Many unscrupulous people in the weight loss industry are trying to cash in the huge demand for Hoodia weight loss pills by offering fake products at low prices or by offering deceptive free trials.

Unfortunately the supplements market is obsessed by such Hoodia scammers. People easily fall for cheap products or free trials. Fraudulent merchants make use of this and rob money from desperate dieters by offering fake products for cheap or through free trials that involve continued shipping and forced billing.

Getting started in fitness program

Posted on May 18, 2009 at 09:15 AM by Perriann Rodriguez | Comments (0)

I used to go to the gym 3-4 times every week. I wouldn't do anything too extreme--just the elliptical and treadmill, maybe a few small weights, some situps

Things got really busy about 1 month ago and I lost my routine of going to the gym. I had way too many things going on and not enough hours in the day to finish everything.

So the first to go was the workouts.

I saw an infomercial several months ago and I ordered some fitness DVD's. Tomorrow I plan to start this program. It is supposed to help you lose fat, weight and develop muscle.

Posted on Apr 18, 2009 at 02:30 PM by Christopher Smith | Comments (0)

If your trampoline is one of the older models that uses springs, those springs will need to be replaced occasionally. Can One Be Fat And Free From Heart Disease?

Posted on Mar 23, 2009 at 10:02 AM by Ng Peng Hock | Comments (0)

Can one be fat and free from heart disease? This interesting question has in fact prompted numerous researches to find out whether exercise or weight has a greater influence on the risk of heart disease.

The latest study by researchers from Boston's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre found that even high quantities of physical exercise would not eliminate the risk of heart disease for overweight or obese women, unless they also lose their body weights. They reported on April 28, 2008 in the Archives of Internal Medicine that being active could only lower but not eliminate risk of heart disease faced by heavy women.

Different Approach to Exercise

I know I am not the only one that dreads exercising on some days. Sometimes I really struggle to make it to the gym. I start coming up with rationlizations as soon as my alarm clock goes off. I instantly think, I'm way to tired to make it to the gym.

I have decided not to address working out in my mind until after a few cups of coffee. That has definitely helped a lot.

But maybe I should be taking up a whole new way of thinking when it comes to exercise.

Posted on Dec 14, 2008 at 02:40 AM by Teresita C. Tayanes | Comments (0)

The man who created this exercise technique was an Israeli scientist, Moshe Feldenkrais, who lived from 1904 to 1984. He was a research physicist with a passion and brilliant understanding of cybernetics. he developed his own exercise system based on neurological research which he called 'Awareness through the mechanics of movement.'

Here's his simple exercise sequence to release neck tension :

* lie flat on the floor and raise your knees so that your feet stand easily on a floor. Relax your jaw, breathe in, then very slowly let the breath out, saying HAAAAAAAAA like a long yawn.

* Imagine there is an ink spot on your right shoulder blade and you are drawing a circle on the ground. Start small and gradually get larger. Let your arm and elbow naturally follow the movement. Now do the same with the left shoulder blade. repeat the movement.

* Now imagine the ink blot is on the nose. This time you're drawing circles on the ceiling. Move your nose very gently to draw the circles, getting wider and wider, then smaller again.

* The ink blot is on your chin. Tip your chin towards the ceiling and start draing the circles.. Now it's on your forehead. Lastly, the ink blot is onthe very top of your head and you are drawing circles on the wall behind you.

But, are you aware that spending long hours in front of TV is more likely to raise blood pressure of obese children? This is the finding of a recent study conducted by the University of California, San Diego and published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine. The researchers believe that increased psychological stress and junk food eaten while watching TV could be the factors that lead to the rising blood pressure.

Having Fun With Jumpking Trampoline Mats

Posted on Mar 10, 2008 at 01:14 PM by Christopher Smith | Comments (0)

If you are a Jumpking trampoline owner you have probably wondered, while either you were jumping or as you were watching the children bounce on the trampoline mats, when trampolines were invented. Back in 1930, as a young boy from Iowa watched a circus act he was impressed by the aerial acrobatics that were done. One thing that left a lasting impression on his mind was the net below these acrobats that they would bounce into and spring back up from during their act. Unable to shake this image from his mind George Nissen decided to invent his own version of this bouncing net.

After he finished college, Nissen invented the trampoline mat using tent grade canvas tightly stretched on a welded frame. Originally it was called a 'jump rig' instead of calling it a trampoline mat. It wasn't until after World War II and after Nissen had gotten together with a couple of business partners that he took a trip to Mexico. It was on this trip that he heard someone calling a diving board, "el trampolin" when he decided to adapt this name to his new invention and patent the trampoline.

Yoga Apparel - It's The Only Thing To Wear

Something that many casual practitioners take for granted in yoga is the importance of the correct yoga apparel. This does not mean that you will be unable to hold downward dog if your pants are not the right shade of blue, but what if they are too tight? People, women especially, focus on clothing for the sake of appearance, often forsaking things like comfort and practicality (take one look at high heels if you think I am wrong). In yoga, this lack of practicality can make for uncomfortable experiences as your clothes stretch too tight for the poses that you adopt or inhibit your movements.

However, a more pervasive condition known as halitosis is what we need to be concerned about, if we suffer from it. Funnily, most of those with this condition did not even realise that they have this condition in the first place. It is a condition that sufferers are unable to detect it themselves.

If you wear your shabbiest clothes to the yoga studio, throwing on torn old slacks and a stained T-shirt, you will give off the impression that you don't care about yourself or your appearance. Despite the fact that you are working hard to practice your yoga, you will seem lazy and uncaring, and even your teacher may think along those lines. If, however, you take a little care with your appearance, others will notice that you are worth caring about because you care about yourself. Such little things can make a big difference in both how other see us, and in how we see ourselves.

Posted on Jan 7, 2008 at 07:05 PM by Christopher Smith | Comments (0)

Towards the end of the twentieth century, fitness lovers were increasingly exposed to an array of new fitness equipment. Although some of them were nothing more than marketing gimmicks, others are still around and are benefiting their users. There has been fair bit of scientific investigation into these tools to determine their advantages as well as their risks, and the fitness trampoline was not exception. In the end, it has resulted in growing acceptance of the health benefits of trampolines.

Using a fitness trampoline is as simple as jumping on it, literally. A trampoline is generally made by securing a strong fabric such as nylon to the top of a hollow platform. Yes, stretch marks happens to most people. Actually, when it comes to stretch marks, we all get them sooner or later. Most people assume that only heavy people or pregnant women get them. That isn't even close to the truth. Basically, age and weight fluctuations play a very large role in who is going to get stretch marks and who isn't.

There are many different ways to deal with them that modern technology has come up with. You can have them taken out with a laser, but it can be very costly; leave you with scars, or even change the color of your skin all together.

There is also the effort of having your skin peeled repeatedly which can be painful as well as expensive. Even a little bit of cosmetic surgery claims to help you out with this unsightly problem. The only problem with these methods is that they are not guaranteed to even work.

These ways to deal with stretch marks may all serve their own purposes; however, there are safer and less stressful ways that you can do it. There are natural ways of dealing with stretch marks.

Why should you harm your body with costly surgeries and laser treatments when you don't have to? There are many natural ways that you can use that are just as effective as any other methods, but without all of the pain and money missing.

The New Anti-Wrinkle Treatment

Posted on Aug 20, 2006 at 02:36 PM by Mary Desaulniers | Comments (2)

We are bombarded on all fronts with new anti-wrinkle treatments and new sophisticated skin regimen that are supposed to take years off the face—microdermabrasion, botox injections, face lifts and laser resurfacing. More than ever, we are harnessing the powers of technology to create a Brave New World of ageless boomers. And while I have no objections to wanting to look young (who doesn’t), I do think that being young is more a state of mind than a state of “looks.” Looks can be artificially manipulated; a state of mind can only be cultivated.

Even the word “cultivation” suggests that the process of staying young takes time. And time is something our society seems intent on making dispensable. Yet the best things in life take time. Think of your children through the lenses of the family album; it is the changes tabulated in those pictures that make them so rich in character and experience now. Time deepens the experience; time ages the moment by filling it with layers made accessible through memories. Without time, we are like ants—filled only with a pale and surface instant. Living the moment is a call for cultivating the layers of time within the moment.

And so with the face....

Stressed? Have a Talk with Your Body

Ilana Rubenfeld Ph.D knows first hand what having a conversation with your body means. A gifted violinist at the Julliard School of Music, Rubenfeld was well on her way to become the first woman conductor in the music scene when a debilitating back spasm cut short her music career. It was at that point that Rubenfeld turned to the resources of her body and transformed trauma into triumph by embarking on a personal mission to look for answers in the body’s wisdom. The result is The Listening Hand: The Rubenfeld Synergy Method of Talk and Touch which made her a world-recognized pioneer in integrating psychotherapy, body work and intuition. “You can learn to develop ‘listening hands’ in order to ‘hear’ changes in the body," she says. Talking with your body is the first step towards healing and integration.

10-Minute Exercises with Big Results

Posted on Jul 24, 2006 at 07:10 PM by Georgette Pann | Comments (8)

Many busy professionals feel that working out isn’t worth the time unless they can exercise for forty minutes or longer and it’s true that many healthcare workers and government agencies used to recommend that all adults get thirty consecutive minutes of aerobic exercise per day. But this is the twenty-first century and the fact of the matter is that you don’t have to do all your exercise at once to reap the health benefits. Research has shown that short, intense exercise segments throughout the day are just as effective as longer workouts at burning calories, increasing cardio endurance and lowering blood pressure and cholesterol. Even as little as five minutes can go a long way towards balancing hormones in the body and making you a happier person – is that great or what? You no longer have to worry about finding a large block of free time to work out; just take a coffee break and in five minutes you can feel totally rejuvenated.

One of the greatest things about shorter workouts is that they have tremendous potential to reshape your body with a minimum time commitment. Incorporating strength training exercises into your daily schedule is a powerful tool for both heart health and muscle strength. Spend five minutes doing lower body exercises and after several weeks you can tell a difference. Spend ten minutes on a power workout and results will show up in three weeks or less. Use the following ten-minute express workouts on a regular basis for a month and you will see remarkable changes in your body’s strength. You can do these workouts in your office with the door closed or, if your office is a cubicle, in the restroom or some other private area. Do whatever is necessary for you to fit in your exercise time at work.

Competing in EAS Body for Life

Posted on Jul 24, 2006 at 04:22 PM by Shawn Drewry | Comments (13)

This morning around 2:30-45'ish, I was pulled over by Wilmington Police for no reason. I had done nothing wrong. I was driving at 25 miles an hour in the city, seatbelt on, and sober. I passed a police car sitting on the right side of me perpendicular on another block at the light when he took notice of me. He did NOT immediately pursue me. The Wilmington Police drove very slowly up behind my car, as I passed a green light further down Maryland Avenue, heading towards the city. For NO reason, Wilmington Police turned the lights & pulled me over. He immediately asked for the ignition key. I said "What for, I did nothing wrong." The officer then gave a cold face and told me to shut up and give him the key right away. I turned the car off and gave it to him. The officer who spoke to me the entire time was the passenger in the police cruiser. The driver of the cruiser never came to my car. While I told the officer I forgot my license and registration at home in which was not on purpose, he ran everything on me though his computer in the car. A few minutes later, he came back to my car with a citation for not having the insurance on me and a suspended license.

I paid all of my tickets and the slow Delaware computers are still saying my license was suspended. Mind you, 3 days prior to that, someone hit my car while I was stalled at a light. Delaware State Police came to the scene. If my license was suspended then, why didn't anyone say something to me, even though the state cop only asked me for my registration and proof of insurance? I feel Wilmington Police just didn't want to see people like me driving a nice car late at night, though I did nothing wrong. Sadly, they had a reason to take my car from me; by saying my license was suspended. The no good Wilmington bad mouthed servants towed my car. Now, I am out of a car for the weekend, forced to sit in the house and window shop on who I could've had a date with (smile)...lol's3x. Here is where Body for Life comes in. I guess this was a good start, because after the police told me to get out of my car and walk home which was almost 10 miles away, I performed a strenuous walking exercise that lasted 3+ hours. In this time, sweat came down my face and chest like my body was crying silently. If only I remembered to bring a small container of EAS Mypolex with me, my stomach wouldn't have been growling so much. The night before I was pulled over (which is supposed to be the 1st day of me starting on Body for Life) I pigged out and ordered take out from Pat's Pizzeria on Milltown Rd. I ordered an 18' Chicken Cheese steak with mayonnaise, ketchup, fried onions and pickles. Boyee ol' boyee was I in total la-la land...:-):-)

I will ask GOD to help me to mentally capitalize off of the adverse incident of the no good Wilmington Police picking on me to grow from. I have already capitalized on a good start by performing 3 hours of cardio on foot. Only thing I forgot to do was blend another EAS Myoplex shake with some CLA and extra glutamine in it before bed, so my muscles can repair while I rested. I am determined with GOD to help me to get this EAS routine down and potentially win. The mental part of it as far as staying focused on eating and especially CARDIO is the hard part.

Back to the cop thing...its funny how police officers, judges and lawyers have to scream at people to make them feel inferior while they silently feel they are better than the average civilian. The officer didn't have to scream at me when he told me to leave my car for the tow people to pick up while he waits to see everything after I left. I spoke to the officer in a humble tone, but he insisted on NOT telling me why he pulled me over in the first place, but yet only telling me to walk home and go to court in August to contest the no insurance and suspended license charge he wrote me a ticket for. I will see to it that he is reported to the proper authority for disciplinary action, because he failed repeatedly to tell me why I was pulled over. Again, I strongly feel I was randomly picked on, because I drive a nice car!

Top 5 Sure-Fire Ways to Fight Cellulite
By Evelyn Lim

Cellulite – the “c” word that women dreads. Cellulite is otherwise known as “cottage cheese”, “orange peel” due to its dimpled appearance on the skin. Despite sleeping well, eating right and getting plenty of exercise, women can still be plagued with unsightly cellulite.

It is believed that nearly 95% of all women have some degree of cellulite. Researchers say that hormones cause cellulite. Thus, it is not the direct result of being overweight, but the effect that hormones are having on the layer of fat under the skin. This explains why thin people can still get some degree of cellulite. Cellulite appears often after pregnancy, (or being on birth control pills) when the system is flooded with estrogen, or after a traumatic experience. It can also be the case of a toxin overload due to an unhealthy diet of processed foods and not enough water intake.

Metabolism: What Is It?

The dictionary defines metabolism as the sum of all biochemical processes involved in life, or the sustaining of life. In application concerning our health, metabolism is related to the intake and use of food. In reference to the case in point it is our ability to utilize our food to the fullest extent.
Some people have really high rates of metabolism. In other words, when they consume food, their bodies burn it up almost as fast as then consume it.
