In Second Life, you can sell your cheapest non-free items for L$1 -- not even half a penny -- but don't let that stop you from believing that every sale and every customer's comment(s) should be listened to, if not acted on, as soon as possible.
If you're lucky, people will give you feedback. Only one out of several buyers takes the time to complain. There are different ways you can respond:

Second Life is a massive real-time simulation with immense user programmability. The sheer depth of building, texturing, and scripting techniques ensures a rich, constantly evolving stream of user-created content.
However, if you are starting out in the game, have just plunked down $9.95 for your premium subscription, and are wondering how you're going to make back that $9.95 (or more) over the next 30 days, learning the techniques you need can be formidable and even impossible if you don't get the right kinds of help.

Will Star Craft 2 include in game ads?

The highly-anticipated release of the popular computer game Star Craft 2 was somehow marred with a misunderstanding on whether the new version will now include in-game ads.
The introduction of a commercial product skillfully integrated to become part of a computer game or an in-game ad is not exactly a welcome development for many of us players. They may even have a creepily negative effect on youngsters.

The richest player in World of Warcraft?

Apparently there is a limit to the amount of gold you can own in World of Warcraft. Personally the most gold I've ever had I dumped into my 300 riding skill and Netherwing Dragon mount. However if you were to play the game as an economic simulation as the German player "Tyram" has done, you too could be deemed one of the richest players in Warcraft.

If you have questions about where to start, then this article is for you. It will guide you through the basics of what you need to know.

Prior to the advent of the Internet, many video games were played alone or with just a friend or two, with limits imposed on the user due to simple matters of the right technology being invented yet. In modern times, though, the Internet and fast network connections make networking gamers together a snap, with MMORPGs, which stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games, representing the pinnacle of this ability to play with large groups of people. What makes MMORPGs so fun and what can you do in them? Let's explore this genre of games more closely.

As of today you can purchase the entire Arena Season 1 set of armor using Honor Points and Battleground Tokens. That's an entire five piece set of Gladiator's Armor that you can now get using your extra honor and tokens. For example the chest piece will now cost you 14500 honor and 30 AB tokens. It can't get much easier then that to seriously upgrade your PVP gear.
And for those of us with a few arena points to spend, there are some insanely overpowered weapons now availble to go with our new insanely overpowered armor.

World Of Warcraft Guild Banks Overview

With today's release of patch 2.3 Blizzard has introduced Guild Banks into the World Of Warcraft.
This has been needed for a long time in my opinion. Previously you had to have someone's alt, or more then likely multiple alts, that acted as banks. This caused many problems, not the least of which was the inevitable sharing of logins and passwords so other guild officers could access the guild bank. Many times players might not even know their guild had a "guild bank" if they never asked about it. The most you'd probably get was a "Anyone need this Primal Fire before I put it on the AH?" in guild chat if you were lucky.
History aside, how can we best utilize the new guild banks now that they're here? Let's take a look!

Land. It just sits there in SL, and you dump objects on it. Sounds pretty cut and dried, doesn't it?
That may have been the case back in the early versions of SL, but no longer. If you dig a little deeper and unearth the options you have for your land, you can get the dirt on making a mountain out of your molehill and start to rock. Read on and soon you'll be taking your gneiss land options for granite!

A Second Life Quick Start: Powerful Business Tools For The SL Newcomer

When I first came to Second Life, my inventory seemed like nothing more than a few shrubs, some basic outfits, and maybe a palm tree and a wood texture. Though the powers that be at Linden Labs had carefully packed my inventory with a decent assortment of costumes, textures, gestures, and the like, I still had my work cut out for me.
I needed outfits that suggested more success than I was having. I needed to create in-world support items and sellable goods, communicate visually and in print, build a decent office, save money with a little of my own scripting, and build my business on the foundation of SL's success: the opportunity for interaction with thousands, and eventually, millions of other people. Here is a brief guide, boiled down from ten months of Second Life exploration and learning, to help you get started fast with some of the best tools.

Dont Forget These At Christmas
Posted on Oct 24, 2007 at 07:33 PM by Christopher Smith
I found it highly amusing when my parents handed me a rather heavy bag of AA batteries when we went down to see them for Christmas. They had bought quite a few things for my daughter for Christmas, and most of them took at least two AA batteries. They said that they know how expensive batteries can be, and they thought that if they did not supply the batteries that she might not get to play with many of her new toys. They may have been on to something because had we been the ones to buy the batteries, many of her toys would still be in the boxes they came in.

Video Game Idea

I just had an amazing idea for a video game that I would like to share with you and get your opinion on.
This video game will be a multi genre game that blends many game formats and style into one large multiplayer online game. Depending on what style of games a person likes, there will be something to satisfy them. When a new person logs on, they choose what kind of genre they want to play, with the possibility of changing style later into the game.

Colin McRae Rally 04 rally simlulator from Codemasters reached the 4th edition. Unfortunately for game enthusiasts this version of Colin McRae could be the last one. Why? If you watch closely the real world rally games you know thath Colin McRae is not competing in rally anymore. This was a real punch for Codemasters who built the whole game around Colin's image.

Sid Meier’s Civilizations 4: Government Civics

Civilizations 4 has what are known as civics. A civic allows you to choose how you run your civilization, each with benefits and/or penalties. Are you an elected president, or a king? Perhaps you are a fascist dictator. Do you allow free speech? Are there open markets? There are many choices that become available throughout the game.

Sid Meier’s Civilizations 4: Diplomacy

Civilizations 4 brings with it many new diplomatic options. The game does include the old ones seen in earlier versions. However, many of them now have different names.
In Civilizations 3, there was a Mutual Defensive Pact. When two nations signed this pact, it meant that if one went to war and was attacked, the other HAD to come to his defense. A tactic that was used by the A.I. civilizations was to sign this pact with the player and then going to war with another civilization. This forced the player to come in and assist. It was quite annoying, and sometimes ended the player’s civilization. In Civilizations 4, there is the Defensive Pact. It works similar to the one from Civilizations 3 with one alteration. If either nation starts a war, the pact is cancelled automatically.

Online Role-Playing Games: Text-Based RPGs

In my previous article, I gave some basic descriptions of the differences between the 3 types of online RPGs. The one that I personally have the most experience with are the Text-Based RPGs. I have been role-playing in these kinds of games for about 5 years. I have been in email RPGs, message board RPGs, and the live or chat room RPGs. I have been a Game Master (GM) for some of the RPGs, and a member of others.
Text-Based RPGs have several sub-types, if you will. They are mainly divided up by what service of the web the GM uses. This can be email, message boards, or chat rooms – some RPGs even use a combination of these services.
