Dream Cancun Resort - Day 2 continued

Dream Cancun Resort - Day 2 continued

About the Author

Hello everyone! I am a Headhunter/website builder/and aspiring internet marketer. "Headhunting" is what I've been doing for the past 20+ years. (Visit Job Search 101) I've been a website builder/internet markete

After a wonderful breakfast of all you can eat everything and a few sips of champagne, we were off to check out the rest of the resort. This resort was smaller than the others we stayed in and I wouldn't really classify it as a resort, but more of a luxury hotel. But it is oh so beautiful. You have everything you could ever need here. To get to the Playacar Spa, you board a free shuttle bus for the 5 minute ride. It is well worth the trip (but more on the spa another time).

It was a beautiful, sunny day. The waters were gently lapping at the shoreline. The four ferrys to and from the island of Cozumel would leave just about every hour and we could see them off in the distance.

As a reminder, our dream Cancun resort this time was the Playacar Palace. The outside of the building was a stark white, beautiful against the baby blue sky and fluffy white clouds. The building was stucco and solid. The lobby was open and had sheer curtains that blew in the breeze creating a very tropical type setting and relaxing mood. The floors were marble, some shiny and some a different kind of marble. All of the rooms had an ocean view and/or a combination ocean and pool view.

We took a walk after our satisfying breakfast to see what else there was to do. People were swimming, sunning, and walking on the white sandy beach. This is a quiet resort with not alot to do, but that was our choice. No car to drive, no deadlines to meet, food at our beck and call, the pool and the ocean.

But if you have the need to find more excitement, there is still plenty to do just steps away from the resort. Senor' Frogs is a few minutes away along with a wonderful marketplace of hundreds of shops displaying all of the local Mexican wares. If you want even more shopping and a different scenerio, you can board one of the ferry boats to the island of Cozumel for about $11 each way (prices vary). If you are staying at any one of the Palace Resorts, you can eat all of your meals while in Cozumel on a day trip, but be careful to check out when the last ferry leaves so you can return.

There is daycare for the kids that the children seem to like very much. The daycare workers are wonderful and caring and they do have a safey system in place. There are several bar/lounges open about 12 hours a day, a convenience store right on the premise, a travel agency in the lobby for tours, a money exchange bank in the lobby and an entertainment room. The restaurants vary and are amazing. There are three of them at Playacar Palace. The international one is the one I described to you. More on the others later as this blog entry is getting a bit too long.

Playacar Palace is just another of the dream Cancun resorts. Come back to read more. We aren't finished with day two yet, but almost. Enjoy your week.
