Add Excitement To Your Child's Party By Renting An Inflatable Trampoline

Posted on May 14, 2008 at 07:06 PM by Christopher Smith | Comments (0)

So, you're giving a party, and you're wondering what to do for entertainment. How about renting an inflatable trampoline? Rental is quite inexpensive, they are fairly easy to set up and to deflate, and your guests will have a great time if you have one. They will be waiting in line to take their turns at jumping. You'll turn what could have been a humdrum get-together into a party people are talking about for months.

Maybe you already have your own backyard trampoline and can't see why you'd need to rent an inflatable one just for the party. It's like those big, inflatable bouncing houses you see at company picnics and Octoberfests. If you've seen them, you know how full of kids they always are. That's because more than one can use them at a time.

A birthday party for toddlers is all about being simple. Kids between 2-3 years old are not going to notice that things are not perfect or expensive or even that they are better than someone else's. All they care about is that the party is fun, so that is all you should care about, too. If you keep in mind that the main goal is that your toddler and their young friends have a good time, then you will find planning the birthday party can be quite easy.

Air Hockey Table - Great Gift Ideas

Posted on Dec 2, 2007 at 02:17 PM by Christopher Smith

It's odd what can bring back old memories, and you never know when you may come face to face with your past. This happened to me once over an air hockey table. I was just out of high school, and was hanging out with some friends before going off to college. A girl asked me if I would like to play air hockey with her, and I said that I would, even though I had no idea who she was. As we played, she started asking me things about my childhood. Though this was a little weird to me, it was a fun conversation.

Halloween Party Ideas For Kids

Posted on Sep 24, 2007 at 09:22 AM by Sherrie Le Masurier

Nothing makes Halloween more fun than throwing a Halloween party for your children and their friends.

When my kids were young they loved the following cool and creepy Halloween game and Halloween activity ideas:

First let’s start with one of my favorite Halloween party ideas - a pumpkin invitation.

Pumpkin invites is one of the most creative ways I’ve found to invite guests to a Halloween party. Purchase a miniature pumpkin for each child. You can usually find ones that stand about 3” tall and resemble a gourd. With an indelible marker write all the party details on one side. On the other side, draw or paint a face or leave it as an activity for the guest to do. (Be sure to pick up a few extra pumpkins for a special ring toss game – three to five should do it.)

Another neat Halloween party idea is to use orange balloons as the basis of your child’s party invitations. Blow up each balloon, write the information on one side and draw a spooky face on the other. Let it dry a moment, deflate and send to guests.

Tag isn't Just for Kids!

Posted on Jul 26, 2006 at 02:53 PM by Sara Gray | Comments (0)

Kids have the most incredible way of entertaining themselves. Even in this day and age when there are so many options for entertainment. What I love is - to see what happens when a child finds him or herself in a situation where there are no toys, no TV, no video games.

Not too long ago, my family and another family went on a picnic. It was a beautiful day, not too hot, perfect weather. The kids were excited to see each other and the adults were happy to get away from everyday distractions... until...

We realized nobody had remembered to bring any sports equipment like frisbees, baseballs, soccer balls, etc...

OH NO! was the first thought by the adults. How are we going to entertain these kids? I know we all forgot what it was like when we were children. Leave it up to them. One of the kids yelled that age-old phrase, "You're IT!!!)

So we played Tag. All of us. Kids and adults.

"Winging" it with Buffalo Chicken Wings!

Posted on Jul 24, 2006 at 01:59 PM by Sara Gray

Buffalo Wings have had a fairly short history, but what a history! Who doesn't love buffalo wings?

Not that long ago, eating chicken wings was considered scraping the bottom of the barrel. The way people used them was not as we know it today – as a fabulous simple appetizer – but rather, as scraps that could be used in soup stock. So how did Buffalo Wings come about?

Jolly Old Saint Nick is facing a dilemma … the elves are planning a revolt!
When Santa checks his list for naughty and nice this year, he’s finding it harder and harder to make a point with rocks, stones, lumps of clay and coal for kids that haven’t met the nice standard. It seems that good little boys, and particularly Cub Scouts trying to earn the Cub Scout Academics Geology Belt Loop and Geology Pin Awards, are asking for rocks and minerals to satisfy their interest in prehistoric earth science.

What’s the Jolly Old Elf to do?
