Nothing beats Christmas through the eyes of a child. That is unless you are a child at heart and are open to making the most of the holiday season.
Following are 16 ways to have fun and get into the Christmas spirit.
Make Tracks
After a fresh snowfall, find an empty parking lot and make tracks in the snow to spell out the word SANTA or if you're really energetic, try MERRY CHRISTMAS or HAPPY HOLIDAYS.
Play Santa
Don a Santa hat in early December and don't take it off until the New Year. Or, just wear it at holiday parties and when handing out Christmas gifts. Red and white not your colors? Opt for a pair of reindeer antlers (available in most dollar stores).
Wear Holiday Socks
Wear two different socks (red and green) or don a pair of seasonal ones, and see how many people notice. Award any that do with a candy cane.
Holiday Candles
Replace all the candles in your house with red and green ones.
Use Seasonal Colors
Write all your correspondence with green or red pen. *Record a cheerful Christmas greeting on your answering machine.
Crank up the Carols!
Clean the house to holiday music.
Honk at Strangers
While in your car, honk and give a friendly wave to a total stranger.
Take a Holiday Walk
Walk around the block and enjoy all the homes decorated for the season.
Shower Tunes
Sing Christmas carols to yourself in the shower.
Smile
Smile at people in shopping centres.
Santa Cloud?
Take your kids outside and find Santa in the clouds.
Holiday Greetings
Wish 'Happy Holidays' to busy store clerks and anyone you happen to be sharing an elevator with.
Decorate your Car
Attach a holiday wreath to the grill on the hood of your car
Go Festive
Wear a festive pin on your coat.
Secret Treats
Buy some of your friend's favorite candy and secretly slip it into their coat pocket.
