Lot of people swear she's soooo funny and cool . . . more importantly, she takes a real interest in people in her audience and their lives. I travel with my laptop, and I recently tried to watch movies on my computer’s built-in DVD drive. Unfortunately, my Windows desktop didn’t include any software for playing a DVD. Even Microsoft’s nearly-ubiquitous Windows Media Player requires the addition of costly DVD decoders to play DVDs. Where was I going to find a cost-effective solution for watching movies?

I love my digital camera. Over the last few years, I have saved approximately twenty-thousand pictures on my hard drive! I've done a good job of organizing the pictures through the years, but only a few of the pictures are named. There are other pictures “hidden” around my computer, and I'm certain that all of the pictures haven't been properly archived to CD. Fortunately, Google is making all of those tasks easier with Picasa, their free digital media tool!

The free, open-source office suite OpenOffice.org has now been updated to version 2.0. OpenOffice.org includes the usual word processor, spreadsheet and presentation software and more goodies. Version 2.0 also includes a database.
