Really, why should you find a way to work from home? You may have thought about how to make this happen, but never taken any serious steps toward accomplishing the goal. If this is the case, I’d like to share a few ideas with you that will show you that you may not be too far away from firing your boss and working out of your home.
First of all, how far do you have to drive to get to your job? Are you spending an hour to two hours or more a day driving to and from work? If so, ask yourself how nice it would be to just walk from your bedroom to your home office instead.
Big difference, right? Not only are you more relaxed, but you have an extra couple of hours available to make money or take a relaxing excursion. That’s at least 10 hours a week freed up where you can now enjoy life instead of breathing exhaust!
How much do you actually enjoy that job that you fight to get to everyday? I’m willing to bet that you’d quit that thing right now if I handed you $1 million. Most likely, you’re not there because of your love of it, but just because of the need to put food on the table for your family.
If so, imagine what your life will be like when you build a business from home doing something you enjoy? It is actually possible to make money from home by doing something you like to do.
So, how can you accomplish the goal of working from home? There are many things you can do. Let’s just discuss two ideas that come to my mind that can help you transition into a whole new way of life.
One thing you can do is find a company that will allow you to work from home as a customer service rep. Try Craig’s List and see if you can find anyone needing 24 hour email consultants. Some companies offer 4-6 hour shifts where you just answer customer’s questions, all through your computer.
Yes, this means you’ll have to re-structure your time and work some evenings or weekends, but you can get some extra income, and if you find it lucrative enough, maybe turn it into a full-time gig to replace your current job.
At least you don’t jeopardize your current income as you try something new.
A second thing you can do is start building websites in your spare time. As your websites begin earning money for you, they may very well replace your job. I like this avenue best, as you don’t replace one boss for another. You can work whenever you want, rather than being locked into a specific shift.
