Business Reflections of 2006

As 2006 draws quickly to an end, take these last few weeks to reflect on your business endeavors. Now is the time to look back with careful consideration to see how far you’ve come and where you intend to go.

The best way to reflect on your business is to step back and take a good look at it. Find out what’s working for you, and what isn’t. Here are some things we suggest you take a look at:

MONEY MATTERS

Review your business budget. Are some areas sagging, while others are receiving too much monetary endowments? Balance your business’s budget. Adjust funds as needed to reduce the amount of money unnecessarily wasted. Set goals for things like advertising and extra spending.

INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS

If you have employees working for you, how have you nurtured those relationships? Take stock in these people, as they are what helps make your ship stay afloat. Have you shown your employees this year that you value them and appreciate their hard work? Do you make a special effort to build company morale?

BUSINESS PLANS

How has your business plan held up in 2006? Did things go the way you’d planned and expected them to? If not, why? What could you have done that would have changed the direction? Make time to update your business plan. Make a note of the things that didn’t work, and what did. Incorporate new ideas and innovative measures to raise your business a notch or two in 2007.

To be To Do today

1) Set aside 30 minutes for reflection today

2) Ask God for His guidance in your business

3) Think about how you can take your business to the next level in 2007
