How Much More Can I Do?!?!

I have been working as a Sales Manager for many years and one of the statements I’ve often heard was, “How much more can I do?”

For a long time, I offered my suggestions on what more can be done, until I realized…

The thought process of someone who can say “How much more can I do?” was very self defeating.

And that I had to start working on the core beliefs of the people around me so that they would start saying, on their own, “What more can I do to get my desired result?”

This process takes quite a while especially with sales people who have been around for quite a while.

But what I found to happen, when the culture started to change, was that the people who wanted to change would change and those who would never change would leave very quickly and not by firing.

It was very interesting.

Then as the culture shift started to take over, the organization started to attract people who automatically had the “What more can I do to get the desired result?” attitude.

As from a previous post called Use the Attraction Factor for Sales Success, we are constantly attracting to us the dominant thought or mindset that we hold and this also works with your employees.

A light bulb went off for me and I have tried to keep my attitude at the level that I would want the people around me to have and this has done wonders for me in the area of my associations.

Look around you, if the majority of people around you, are not what you like…

The first place you have to look to solve this problem is in the mirror.
