Are you a quilter or do you kow someone who enjoys quilting? If you're an avid quilter you may have already heard of National Quilt Pink Day - a fundraising event to take place on September 30, 2006 at quilt shops throughout the country to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Quilters will be gathering at participating quilt stores to make pink and white quilt blocks. The quilt block will then be stitched together with those created by other quilters and sent as a finished quilt to American Patchwork & Quilting� magazine. The magazine plans to hold an online quilt auction in the spring of 2007. The net proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Each quilter who participates will have the chance to win a prize package from Quilt Pink Sponsors: American Patchwork & Quilting, Moda, Husqvarna Viking, Fiskars, C&T Publishing, Robison Anton, Horn of America, Ott-Lite, and the Fabric Shop Network. You can also enter the Quilt Pink Sweepstakes online without having to make a quilt block.
