Generating [low cost B2B leads] aka generating low cost business to business sales leads, that will increase your sales, even in a poor or declining economy is still very possible with the right knowledge.
The dramatic fluctuations of today's business markets are different than anything we have seen in recent memory. Every day seems to bring a new surprise. Companies are wary, not knowing what tomorrow may bring for their businesses. Instead of spending to grow their businesses, they are conserving cash to meet their payroll needs, not making new investments, hiring less or even not hiring at all. They are not delegating money for lead generation although that is what is most needed for their businesses at this time. Besides the cash flow crunch - another reason for the cutback is also their experience - what used to work to generate low cost B2B leads doesn't seem to work as well, or sometimes not at all. Therefore, many businesses have just stopped generating low cost business to business sales leads mistakingly thinking that they are saving money. The reality is, they are losing money.

Black October 2008?

I'll never forget Hurricane Jeanne, which struck Florida four years ago this week.
My wife, young daughter, and I huddled in the shower of our older house as the battery-powered TV flashed tornado warnings and updates on the storm's 115-MPH winds.
Every now and then, I'd peek out the only unshuttered small window we had, only to see it raining sideways and watch electrical transformers exploding in flashes of blue flame.
And I'll always remember how the walls of the house practically "breathed" -- flexing inward and outward ever so slightly -- as Jeanne's winds tugged at them.

It can be hard to know what to send that will be noticed and appreciated. However, you will find a great many ideas for sending a gift basket that will be welcomed by those special customers.

There are general, traditional baskets available as well as more specialized varieties, such as golf gift baskets, coffee or tea baskets, and special Thank You baskets. What You May Not Know About Commercial Fire Alarms
Posted on Jul 24, 2008 at 07:38 PM by Christopher Smith
| Comments (0)
Even back in the early days of industrial America, a need for fire safety measures was already being acknowledged. In the textile mills, with their highly-combustible materials, sprinkler systems of perforated pipe were installed. These first systems were not automatic and had to be worked by hand. So, in 1872, Philip W. Pratt patented the first automatic sprinkler system. It was an improvement on the hand-operated system, but not much. This system was followed in 1874 by an improved one which offered the first practical sprinkler head. The inventor, Henry S. Parmalee, installed the prototype in his own piano factory.
The only people who were interested in installing these primitive sprinkler systems were men employed in commercial enterprises, but they didn't do it to save lives. By having sprinklers installed, their insurance companies gave them reduced rates. Since the discount was enough to more than offset the cost of the sprinkler system, they quickly had them put in. What a way to make a profit! Things stayed this way until the 1940s when stricter building codes required that schools, hospitals, hotels, and other public buildings have sprinklers installed, too.

Basically a digital camera is a device use to capture pictures without the use of film. The lack of mechanical parts has meant that the size of these cameras is only dictated by the size of battery needed to power them. As the captured pictures are stored in digital form, almost every computer and other electronic viewing and printing device can read them too. A series of ones and zeros is how all digital information is stored although the images are no different when viewed.

Capturing images without the need for film is the greatest advantage of the digital camera. Not having to use film means that the cameras can actually be considerably smaller with only the batteries dictating the actual size. As the captured pictures are stored in digital form, almost every computer and other electronic viewing and printing device can read them too. These images are stored as pixels; essentially a small dot digitally represented by 1's and 0's which certain equipment can read.

Office Interiors and the Executive Ego
Posted on Oct 17, 2007 at 06:22 AM by Wayne Helmore
| Comments (0)
It is commonly believed that what separates the men from the boys is grit and determination. Most people think that, to climb the corporate ladder you have to be willing to put everything into your job. People believe that this, combined with some natural skills, is enough for anyone to succeed in the American dream. They are wrong. What is needed, more than anything else, is a sense of theater. Although people are rarely consciously aware of symbols of rank and status within the office interior design, unconsciously we know all about them. More important than hard work, more important than ruthlessness, more important even than competency, is self-confidence.
As a matter of fact, you can see the evidence of rank in almost any artifact of your typical office interior design. Take executive offices, for example. I work in a large office, and many of the lower ranking employees are forced to work in cramped, uncomfortable cubicles. Their executive office chairs are nothing to look at, and in fact are part of their low rank. The executive chairs of the partners, by contrast, are made of genuine leather - comfortable, sumptuous, and conspicuously expenses. This is probably much like any office interior design, and something that most people wouldn't glance twice at. A closer look at the executive chairs, however, reveals some important distinctions between those who will one day make it and those who won't.
Contrast the executive chairs of any of the junior partners, and you'll see important distinctions. Mike Smith, for example, has received promotion after promotion although he has only been here for a few months and is not all that bright. On his plain desk chair, he has added a leather pad. ostensibly, it is for ergonomic purposes, but in fact it conveys a powerful subconscious message. It says that his current status as an underling is only a temporary thing, that already management and greatness or within his grasp.Right next door, James Jones' cubicle tells a very different story. His executive chair also has pads on it, but they are merely functional. They serve to help his back problems, but their undecorated features tell the story of his life at the company. You need to get into real action this year if you want to take your business anywhere. Some are already setting ground online that is based upon solid concrete. You need to take position WITHIN that market to start navigating towards online success!

Do this, do that, do so and so, don't do this, don't do that and finally don't do so and so...

For xx$ they will reveal "golden nuggets" about so and so, and how you can achieve this and that in only xx days.
What would you say if somebody offered you this information FOR FREE?
If that person told you the very truth: that the results are defined by your willingness to ACT upon what you read?
You might even think the person was insane for revealing it for free, but nothing could be further FROM the truth.

The Power of Gratitude in the midst of Busi-ness

| Comments (0)
Businesses often skip right over Thanksgiving and look towards the Christmas Rush. However, Thanksgiving is the perfect time of year to display an attitude of gratitude in your business.
Have you ever heard the statement that "attitude determines altitude"? Well, this my be a common phrase but it is truth. Your attitude is contagious so please be careful and intentional about what you are spreading.
You may be thinking that gratitude doesn’t play a role in your business beyond the obilgatory marketing piece. If it doesn’t, then it should. Let me show you a couple of reasons why you should incorporate an attitude of gratitude into your business actions.
First, being thankful reminds you of what is important. How often do you stop and recognize the blessings in your business and life in general? Most people never do. Think about these questions:
What is most important to you? What values do you hold in high regard? How often do you recognize the good things that are of value to you? Do you say, “Thanks!” for the little things?
Expressing gratitude will open your eyes to the abundance that surrounds you. Not only will you experience more happiness from your life, but you will begin to recognize more things every day for which you are grateful.
Another interesting fact about having an attitude of gratitude is that it is a scarce commodity in daily living. We have to remember to thank their patrons for their support. After all, without them, what would your business be? People appreciate you thinking enough of them to say, “Thanks!” In fact, you might find that they will be surprised and will come back, because so few businesses follow this code of conduct today.

How To Answer Job Interview Questions
Posted on Oct 24, 2006 at 10:27 PM by

A job interview is the art of telling people what you think they want to hear. Having said that, there must be a degree of honesty here. We all exaggerate our experience and skills a bit from time to time, but remember that if you claim to have a four-year track record of flying passenger airplanes, you will need to back it up later on.
To answer job interview questions is to walk a thin tightrope. The questions tend to be designed to find out lots of contrary information. For example, are you a good team player and do you also enjoy working alone? Do you like to lead and are you good at following instructions?

Meetings seem to bring out the worst in some people. They can be rude and selfish, cutting people off instead of allowing them to speak, answering their cell phones and Blackberries, making sarcastic remarks and more.
One way to counteract this type of behaviour is to establish a set of ground rules, explain the reasoning behind them and get people to commit to following them. You don't want a long list, but rather half a dozen or so simple rules that reflect simple courtesy as well as efficiency. Here are some suggestions:

We’d better wake up to the high cost of poor communication
Posted on Jul 31, 2006 at 10:30 AM by Helen Wilkie

Contrary to popular belief, communication is not some warm and fuzzy “nice to have”. Communication is nothing less than the lifeblood of your organization. If blood doesn’t circulate at just the right pressure and speed to all parts and extremities of the body, that body will sicken and eventually die. Similarly, if communication doesn’t flow freely throughout an organization, that body too will sicken and eventually die.
By communication, I don’t mean just vision and mission statements from the top; I don’t mean news releases publicizing financial results or new product announcements; I don’t mean internal or client newsletters, annual reports or videotaped messages to the troops. These are all important and have their place, but they form just a fraction of the communication—and miscommunication—that takes place every day in the workplace.
