How to Build a Simple Website (Anyone Can Do This In Just a Few Hours)

Posted on Jun 10, 2009 at 01:29 PM by Margaret Dunn | Comments (0)

Yes, you can learn how to build a simple website in just a few hours.

I was always a coward when it came to building a website from scratch. I have 14 websites now and many more blogs, but my fear of ftp (will explain that later) kept me from actually being creative and developing my own from the ground up.

Aadi - Successes Are Possible

Posted on May 15, 2009 at 03:42 PM by Henrik Blunck | Comments (0)

Aadi is a little boy in India. He lives in absolute poverty, is surrounded by famine, disease and filth all over the place. Aadi is a lucky guy 'cause one day he gets a computer in the nearby SOS Help Centre from one of the sponsor families.

Locally he has learned English, and he feels that writting stuff can be inspiring to others. He isn't the kind of boy who sits down in self-pity for his poor circumstances. Au contraire. He has learned to make the best of his opportunities and sees POSSIBILITIES where others see HINDRANCES.

Aadi contacts a few online marketers with his manuscript, greatly inspiring them, and some choose to take on this manuscript for their lists. Exposure grows virally and all of a sudden Aadi is a rich boy, not only by Indian measure, but indeed because he concentrated on bringing VALUE to others.

What Can YOU Learn From This?
How could you be inspired by this? What is the lesson for you? Appreciate your talents, find your niche, inspire others and bring value to people. Write something into a wordprocessing program. OpenOffice can be downloaded for free, but you can export directly into the PDF-format.

Release a FREE version of your manuscript with a couple of free chapters. When people see your high quality, they will want to get the full version.

This system works. But you must make an effort to begin the process.

Carpe diem. :-)

Becoming Financially FREE Again Requires Action!

Posted on May 15, 2009 at 11:16 AM by Henrik Blunck | Comments (0)

You need to face the facts: if you want to become financially free again it will require action on your part. You can read all you want, but if you don't follow up by taking action, it's pointless.

Two Methods To Improve Your Economy
There are two methods to improve your economy. It's fairly logic and easy, yet overlooked by many:

  • Increase income

  • Decrease expenses

Increase Income
There are many methods to increase your income. You could read my blog on Earning Money Online which you will find over at: www.blunck.dk/earning-money-online

You could also start blogging and begin earning money from Adsense income just as we do when we release our articles here on WorldVillage. It is much easier than you might originally think. All that is needed is that you release ORIGINAL content. Articles you have written yourself.

Decrease Expenses
Decreasing expenses seems difficult during some months, but you must face the facts. If you're living from paycheck to paycheck you should STOP this tendency. You should read the articles my Becoming Financially Free Again blog and begin building a budget so you can begin the change for the better.

You and your family deserve that you get in charge of your money. The information is available all over WorldVillage. Many of us focus on responsible ways to administer your money. But the question is: "Will you listen and implement what is being GIVEN to you?"

I hope so. Carpe diem.

3 Reasons Why Adsense Is Essential For Content Sites

Posted on May 14, 2009 at 01:09 AM by Bobby Rizigliano | Comments (0)

To know why Adsense is essential for your content sites is to know first how this works.

The concept is really simple, if you think about it. The publisher or the webmaster inserts a java script into a certain website. Each time the page is accessed, the java script will pull advertisements from the Adsense program. The ads that are targeted should therefore be related to the content that is contained on the web page serving the ad. If a visitor clicks on an advertisement, the webmaster serving the ad earns a portion of the money that the advertiser is paying the search engine for the click.

It's pretty rare to get an Olympic Gold Medal, wouldn't you say? Only 1,210 Americans have received one. It's unusual to climb Mt. Everest, too: Just 2,300 people have done that. But there's an even rarer category: The number of billionaires. No more than 1,125 people in the world can claim that distinction.

Virtual Assistants: Why join a networking group?

Posted on Nov 17, 2008 at 06:56 PM by Ellie G | Comments (0)

An online networking group is where you are joined with success-minded people as well as coaches who provide resources and directly answer your questions.

In a good networking group, you'll find people who take their business seriously. Think about it. If the other members are willing to invest money to be there, you know they want to learn. Their business is not treated as a hobby. The members are dedicated to their businesses and work hard to achieve success.

How can an online networking group benefit you? As you may know, in sports, having a good coach will increase your chances of success. Also, the players on your team can make or break your game. If you play on a team with players who are mediocre, your game will remain mediocre. If you join a team with better players who take the game seriously and you add a a great coach, your game will improve as well -- significantly.

Build Your MLM Downline Fast

Posted on Nov 12, 2008 at 02:40 PM by Daniel Waser | Comments (0)

If you want to be successful in any Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) program, you must build a large downline of keen representatives. It's important to be consistent in your efforts to recruit prospects into your network but you also need to be fast in creating your downline. This is particularly important when you begin your MLM program. Most people who fail with legitimate MLM opportunities owe their failure to not building their downline fast enough. The key to your MLM success lies in your downline.

How can you build your downline very quickly? The quickest, most efficient approach is to generate leads from the Internet. Basically, you need to go online and use direct marketing tactics in conjunction with your network marketing program. The only tools you need are a good email program that will allow you to capture leads and a website. It sounds pretty simple, doesn't it? Let's see how it's all put together.

Simply put, online recruitment is a lot easier. Decades ago, MLM marketing was done offline. You had to sell products and recruit new prospects by hunting down leads that you got the hard way. This was often limited to recruiting friends and family members, hosting seminars or going door-to-door.

The Internet has totally changed how MLM marketers can find prospects who are interested in your products and in the MLM business opportunity that you have to offer. Why is that? The Internet allows you to find these people by targeting your ads towards those who are already looking to join an MLM business.

Be Successful at Multi-Level-Marketing

Posted on Nov 12, 2008 at 02:38 PM by Daniel Waser | Comments (0)

Most MLM newcomers have lots of questions. How do I determine if an MLM opportunity is legit? What is the best MLM opportunity? How can I quickly and efficiently build a large downline?

Traditional Internet-marketing models (e.g., affiliate marketing) can provide the answers to these questions and more. Actually, MLM and affiliate marketing are very similar. Their business models both rely on giving a commission to independent referrers for each sale they make. The main difference between affiliate marketing and MLM is that commission structures associated with MLM programs normally extend farther then first and second-tier referrals.

You can use the same evaluation questions for both affiliate programs and MLM programs. Here are the main questions to ask when evaluating these programs:

1. Does this MLM target a lucrative niche?
You MUST find products that customers want to buy or need to buy. Your products must meet the demands of a large and rich marketplace.

2. Is the commission plan great?
Both affiliate and MLM marketers need to look for great commissions. The company you decide to join must give you enough money on each level so that your downline can also earn you money.

Making Money Online Is Not A Quick Fix

Posted on Jun 9, 2008 at 03:07 AM by Daniel Waser | Comments (0)

In today's society, increasing numbers of people are quitting their regular jobs with the hope of becoming one's own boss and becoming rich but making money online is not a quick fix. The problem is we all have different talents so proving the answer to 'what the best method to achieve this is' can be a little tricky! The particular talents you possess will help but in the beginning you will likely try one of two internet marketing methods to earn money. This is in essence a need and supply scenario whereby you find people that have a particular problem and then sell them what they need to get rid of it!

Becoming an affiliate marketer is still the first choice of many people who want to make money online because they get paid on sales for products or services for another company. There are many advantages to this but the most important is that the affiliate does not own the company and only has the task of finding sales to earn money. Once the affiliate has located a good company that intends to be around and continue with the program, it is easier to build up a relationship with them that profits both parties. Huge sums can be earned from a single sale depending on the product but you can expect anything up to seventy five percent or more for some programs; just beware of those with only a few percent as they may not be worth the effort. This is of course the best of every world because making money online as an affiliate means that you do not have the worry of promoting products that you have invested in.

How To Make Money Online From The Comfort Of Your Home

Posted on Jun 8, 2008 at 07:05 PM by Daniel Waser | Comments (0)

Today, there are many people who prefer to work out of the comfort of their homes than facing the daily commute. This is not a less hardworking option - if anything, there will be more work so put those dreams of relaxation behind you. What makes it different is the fact that even though you are doing a job, there is no safety net that comes when a person is employed. What is needed is a strategy that can provide real freedom and independence for those who are willing to work at it.

Many people who would like to venture into working from home opportunities are often lured by 'make millions in a month' due to their desire to make quick and easy money. Strangely, some of these do actually work, but rarely do they work well enough to justify the hype that usually surrounds them. Opportunities such as paid surveys and home based data entry jobs promise to make you rich but they very often don't deliver what they state. There's no way that you can just do a few of these surveys through the day and expect a fat bank balance while you have a lazy, relaxed day to look back on.

eBay: The First 10 Years.

Posted on May 27, 2008 at 03:42 PM by Bobby Rizigliano | Comments (0)

Yes, you read that correctly: ten years. eBay was created in September 1995, by a man called Pierre Omidyar, who was living in San Jose. He wanted his site - then called 'AuctionWeb' - to be an online marketplace, and wrote the first code for it in one weekend. It was one of the first websites of its kind in the world. The name 'eBay' comes from the domain Omidyar used for his site. His company's name was Echo Bay, and the 'eBay AuctionWeb' was originally just one part of Echo Bay's website at ebay.com. The first thing ever sold on the site was Omidyar's broken laser pointer, which he got $14 for.

I thought this was a great article by Stuart Lisonbee, Doba Education Specialist

Search for a product on eBay or any number of other online marketplaces, and you're likely to find yourself inundated with product listings that look pretty much the same. All things being equal, you're going to click the item offering the lowest price, right? Or maybe you weigh price and trustworthiness, and you order the product from the big-name retailer that offers the lowest price. After all, when prices are comparable, why would you risk ordering from an unknown merchant?

Building An Opt In Email List- The Correct Attitude Is Key

Posted on May 10, 2008 at 03:10 AM by Dennis Stokes | Comments (0)

Everyone wants to have a successful business right? There's always so much to do, but what you do needs to count toward making more money and staying with it for the long-haul. The very best thing you can do for long-term success in any business is building an opt in email list. All the people making it big on the Internet have made building an targeted email list a priority and they have been rewarded richly for it.

So now you're all pumped up and ready to conquer the world with your new found knowledge. You start to apply all the techniques to build that powerful list but... after all the time you've put in to make it work... it doesn't. You've built it up, but it still doesn't make you any money like everybody says it should.

In fact you might even be losing money, because of all the expenses to building an opt in email list and maintain that list is more than the profits that you bring in from it.

You think over and over... 'they say the money is in the list', but it might only be for the chosen few who are building an opt in email list. They must knows something you don't because of your total failure to even profit from your list. So you just say forget it and go on to the next big thing that's supposed to be making people a bundle of cash on the Internet

Please.....don't give up on it cause there's hope. It might seem to you like an impossibility, but having and building a targeted email list is a crucial part of your business success. Just roll up your sleeves and really learn how to do it and do it right. If you're persistent, you will be able to do it and you'll be really glad you did.

I know there's probably resistance in wanting to go ahead and start building an opt in email list. I'm sure you are probably already a little stressed with all the factors involved with really making it work the way that you want it to work. There's tons of information on this subject, some being great and some down right horrible. Regardless of the info you need to have a certain approach to list building to really make it work. I really feel all the techniques in the world are going to do you nothing unless you approach list building with these things in mind.

Before even starting a list, like building a house, a solid foundation must be laid for the whole structure to stand for years to come. The foundation of building an opt in email list has 3 mindsets. If you apply these in your list building from the get go, you will greatly improve you chances of building an opt in email list the profitable way.

1-Focus on quality and not just quantity.

It's been proven over and over again that a smaller quality subscriber list will always out perform even a huge list with low quality prospects. Your mindset has to be to approach building an opt in email list with the addition of only quality prospects. It can be more difficult to do this, but in the long run you will be ensuring your long-term success, versus having to waste you time and eventually dump a list that doesn't produce.

But of course building quality requires more effort and expertise than just building an opt in email list with anyone on that list. I'm not going to go into detail of the how's of building as much as sticking with the foundation or mindset for having a targeted email list.

2-A second mindset is talking to each person on your list on a one to one basis. Many people make the mistake of communicating on a mass scale as if they were in front of a huge group of people giving a speech. Try not to take this approach

Just be personable and when you are writing an email you are writing it for just one person. You want them to feel that you are there for them (of course you should be) and you really want to help them. They are on your list for your expertise and help you can provide them. Never give the impression that you are too big and important for your prospects.

Keep this in mind and implement it and you will have loyal responsive subscribers that will trust you and want to respond to what you have to offer.

3-Develop the perfect system to attract the most targeted prospect and then use that system a million times over. Build your squeeze pages, landing pages, marketing and advertising around this thought to build the optimal list.

I'm sure you know McDonalds. Who hasn't... I've probably eaten there 100's of times in my lifetime. Well Ray Crock the founder of McDonalds developed a restaurant that was efficient, great quality and a real money maker. He kept tweaking it and developed a system that anyone could reproduce, if they followed his plan. He franchised it and now you have McDonalds all over the world having the same great success, because the system was a winner before rolling it out on a mass scale.

So don't just have the mindset of just attracting any one on your list. Create a system to really attract quality prospects and then you'll have something you can do over an over to really build a great profitable list.

Some concluding thoughts. Building an opt in email list is created with one person at a time. It's best to focus on the one and do that with everyone on your list. Don't act like your a huge business. You might well be big and successful, but don't act so big that your prospects can't connect with you. You need to always be personable and approachable.

I recently started a new direct sales business, and I've been doing much research with the company I'm with now. It takes good communication to talk to anyone especially if you want them to work with you in direct selling. Anyway, I did a search for " mlm presentation" on youtube in hopes of finding a video on presentation and how to approach people. I came across a Dani Johnson video. I watched it and found her very interesting. I then went to her site and looked at the many testimonials she had of her students talking about how well they've been doing after going to one of her events. She just so happened to be in my area that weekend, and I saw how much it was and the price of the event was reasonable in comparison to what I've paid for at other seminars.

How to Choose the Best Online Marketing Courses!

Posted on Feb 29, 2008 at 11:49 PM by Dennis Stokes | Comments (0)

Like everyone, I bet you want to earn some or all of your income online if that was possible. If that's the case, there are many online marketing courses on the Internet that could teach you the needed skills to make this dream a reality. Just remember that a home based Internet marketing business can be difficult to build and make money at it. Be aware of the hype and the scammers trying to sell you useless information that makes you poorer while they get richer.

Read my words.....If you want to be successful on the World Wide Web then you will be. There are so many people that make great money. My mentor Dave Valliere's is what most would consider a huge success in his business. But remember this good....he started out just like you and me.

Being an ambitious fellow with the burning desire to do what he wanted, he quit his job and started his online business full-time. He was shocked by how hard it was to make a buck. He worked hard but continued to struggle. His bills piling up and not making enough online to pay them, made him desperate. He did finally make some break throughs and he started to make more and more. He's doing great now, but only after months of hard work and stress.

So what was the change that turned everything around? Well, he got to the point that he had to make it. His choices were make it happen or lose everything. He put the pieces together and it started working for him. Because of that, he has advice for anyone else out there wanting to stake there claim and make a living online.

So what is his wise counsel?

Make sure you research and purchase any of the quality online marketing courses on the net. When you find one, take action by applying everything you learn from that course.

If you are thinking of obtaining an Internet marketing course then you are making a great decision. There are some real quality programs to choose from and what's best for you is only for you to know. I've included some guidelines that can help you make the right choice.

1-I've found that unless you have the proper mindset, you'll struggle forever. Online marketing courses need to cover the psychological aspects of success in a business. You probably think this is a bunch of crap, but I'm telling you its critical information that isn't addressed. What's all the techniques and methods worth, if you don't believe it will happen for you? Nada.

2-Of all the online marketing courses, the one you invest in should teach you the skills for a strong foundation as well as provide advanced techniques to make you the marketer you want to become. Also the course should be organized into doable steps so you can progress correctly.

3-Credibility is key. The online marketing courses I hope have authors that have used and still use the techniques and methods taught to you. Real world application and not just theory. Anyone can compile a course with a bunch of methods, but do they really use them?

I've had the experience of following many so called profitable techniques to find out that there was evidently something missing to make it all work. It was just another plan with what really made it all happen completely missing. Maybe the author didn't want to really reveal his secret or he was just baiting me for an eventual up sell! Have you ever had this experience?

4-Of all the online marketing courses, the ones worth investing in are the ones in whom the author really wants you to succeed and gives you every single detail that he has implemented to make that method work.

5-The online marketing courses that are really good have many ways to be taught. They have written material as well as video and audio. Some things just can't be described in words and needs to be seen or heard. If I'm building a web site it really helps to see someone else actually doing it on video versus reading it. Just keep this in mind when doing research.

If you can learn a method in many ways, you have a better chance of learning and applying it correctly.

6-Also you want to look for an Internet marketing course that has free updates. A lot of web-based courses have this benefit.

7-All of these good online marketing courses will require an investment on your part. They will vary in prices, but the price doesn't always equate in quality. Take the other factors into consideration and choose for yourself. Of course any course worth buying will also have a strong guarantee.

To summarize, the right mindset and desire to succeed are critical for your success. Combined with one of the good online marketing courses will finally give you the education and tools to succeed in your home based Internet marketing business.

Model Success and Learn Internet Marketing the Right Way.

Posted on Jan 17, 2008 at 10:09 AM by Dennis Stokes | Comments (0)

Do you want a simple strategy to learn Internet marketing and greatly improve your odds of having a successful online business?

It's a simple idea really, but every budding online business owner doesn't seem to implement it.Model Success and

So since your getting curious, you're probably wondering what idea for successful Internet marketing can skyrocket your ability to have the success you want.

Okay, okay here it is.......

If you want to have success you need to search out and model a business already having the success you want.

Well there you have it. Not too complicated

Use an Internet marketing strategy to get where you want to go by piggy backing on the success of others. You definitely never want to copy a business word for word. Don't copy the website, logos, business materials etc. You'll get in a lot of trouble for that. But copying an idea is perfectly legal in most cases and you would be foolish not to take what's already successful and add it to your own Internet marketing strategy.

If it's working don't try to fix it. If an idea can put more money in your pocket use it. In fact use it and you can try to improve on it to make it more successful. A good example that comes to my mind of using an already successful business model stems from the reality hit show American Idol.

This show is so successful that we have seen many copy cats in the last 3 or 4 years. These are other shows on different networks with a different theme, but the same format. You watch these shows and they have all the ingredients of the hit show. For example, the 3 judge panel with one female and two males. They make sure they have an outspoken male judge with an English or Australian accent. Well, we could probably put them side by side and see they are pretty much the same, but again a different theme and title.

The networks are in fierce competition for viewers and most don't deviate too much with an already successful model. They're not stupid. Their objective is to make money by filling advertising space. If something works, they'll ride the wave till it hits shore. Like the networks, don't mess with what works.

So find a business with the success you want and find out everything that is working for that particular business and do it yourself. Learn Internet marketing from a money making business. But again remember you can't copy a business exactly without getting yourself in trouble. It's not only illegal, but this will ruin your credibility and business.

Examples of what I'm talking about when modeling a business are the following:

For one, If you see a lot of successful businesses providing bonuses with their products or services then it's probably worth the time and effort to do the same. This in fact is one of the Internet marketing tips that should always be used. Keep in mind the bonus needs to fit tightly with the theme of your product and needs to be useful and great quality. Some people will buy your product more for the bonuses than for the product itself.

What's another concept that most successful business implement? AAA customer service. They make their prospects and customers completely satisfied with their product and service. I can't believe the number of business that just don't think it applies to them and their business suffers as a result.

What about a prospect and customer list. Follow the lead of successful businesses and build the long term lifeline of your business. This needs to be on top of your priority list and take every opportunity to build a responsive list.

Learn Internet marketing by taking successful business techniques in a popular but less competitive niche and you could be the one dominating the market. There are so many niches that you could find with hungry customers just waiting for what you have to offer.

You can be the one that has the upper hand on your competition. So many people coming online are just not going to put forth the effort to find out what really works. If you learn Internet marketing from the already successful, you will have the advantage over 95% of those online.

To sum things up, it's crucial that you find a successful business and learn Internet marketing from them. Don't reinvent the wheel, but rather take what others have already proven to work and apply it to make it work for you.

One of the Most Important Internet Marketing Tips You Need To Use

Posted on Jan 10, 2008 at 02:50 PM by Dennis Stokes | Comments (0)

I'm sure you want Internet business success and do what so many other people are doing to making money online. To do this I bet you're always looking for the next best Internet marketing idea and tips to give you the know how to finally make it on the web.

So many people have the vision of owning and running their very own home based Internet marketing business. The thought of getting up in the morning and walking 20 or 30 feet to work versus a long commute is a dream come true. Generating a great income without the stresses of knowing if you will be able to pay the mortgage or car that month is priceless.

So if someone is really motivated and has a doable Internet marketing strategy, what in the heck keeps most people from ever attaining their dreams of home business success?

So what is a key internet marketing tip that is necessary to succeed on the net? The answer is the ability to focus. That's right, focus is absolutely necessary, but most people never adequately focus when working on their home based business.

If you are going to be successful in your own business. You need to really listen closely and take this very seriously.

Before I started really focusing, I would work a lot, but never really get anything accomplished.

If something was difficult to do, I would end up distracting myself by reading my e-mails, looking at all the offers pouring into my email inbox or get caught up by all the new techniques, software and would end up not ever completing a single project all the way through.

Are you like me and end up doing this?

Focus is a key ingredient in you online success. Don't let all the distractions waste your valuable business time. I'm sure you would rather make money than read about someone else making a bunch of money. Of course there's time to learn more about what's going on in the online world, but not during the work hours you set for yourself.

Here are 3 very important bits of advise that has made all the difference in my success as an online marketer.

1- You need to have a designated work space and set aside set times that you can work completely uninterrupted. Find a part of your house that you can be all by yourself. If you can't close a door, buy a partition that you can place around your workspace.

Let your family know that you are at work and you're not to be interrupted. Believe me if you don't create a space and set aside specific times to work on your Internet business, you won't get anything done or make money online. That brings me to the next point

2-If you ever want to really progress in your home based business, you will always have specific goals to accomplish everyday to get from point A to Z. You need to sit down and write what you are going to attempt to accomplish for the day. Then you need to put each task in order of importance. You're probably not going to get it all done, but the key here is that you are doing what's most important for your business everyday, since you have prioritized your list.

When you have your all important list of tasks and have clear vision of what you need to do, then do it. Find a timer online or off line and set it for the time you are going to work. If you're working for 3 hours for example, then set it for 1 hour and start working on each task and never stop until that buzzer goes off. Take a break and then do it again. The point? You work for 3 hours and breaks don't count. You do this with great focus and you'll amaze yourself at what you get done.

Again, don't get distracted at all. If your spouse or girlfriend wants something, it's just going to have to wait. Don't be tempted do keep looking at what's in your email in box. If you absolutely have to then stop the timer until you come back. This is your living so treat it as such.

Finally, get yourself a notepad or use one on your computer and write down what happened for the day. I guess you can call this a business journal if you want, but it doesn't matter. What does matter is that you record what you did and how you felt etc.

Keep this journal everyday and it will give you clarity, vision and focus in your business. Having your thoughts on paper has a way of making things tangible and real. You will find that it really will keep you motivated and on track.

To briefly summarize, focus is an extremely important Internet marketing tip to use in your overall Internet marketing strategy. If you set up your time and workspace, have a prioritized list to do and keep a business journal, you will be on your way to really progressing in your business.

How Much Money Can You Make on eBay?

Have you ever read an article about eBay talking about the insane incomes people make? It's not unusual to hear of people earning thousands of dollars or more each and every month on eBay alone.

Next time you're on eBay, take a look at how many PowerSellers there are, you are sure to find quite a few. Now think about this. Every single one of one of them must be making at least $1,000 per month, because that is the requirement eBay has set for becoming a PowerSeller. Silver PowerSellers make at least $3,000 each month, while Gold Sellers make more than $10,000, and the Platinum level is $25,000. The highest rank you can have is Titanium PowerSeller, and to qualify you must make at least $150,000 in sales every month!

When You Build A Website You Build A Future

Posted on Oct 22, 2007 at 04:44 PM by John Adams | Comments (0)

The Power Of A Website Has The Strength to Make You A Champion!

If you've spent any time online at all, you've already seen what a powerful communication tool the internet is. Almost everyone is connected these days, and when it comes to your business, whether it is large or small, this is one opportunity that you simply cannot miss.

One of the best reasons to use a website to promote your business is because that is where people are doing their searching these days. Rather than going to a phone book, people are able to a search engine like Google or Yahoo and figure out where to take their business.  In addition, a website can give people a far better idea of who you are and what you can do for them than a phone book entry ever will.

"When you put your website out there, you are giving people information, something that is very important in this world".

Your business will suffer if no one knows anything about you, and the internet is one of the best ways to get your name out there.  Similarly, when your site comes up during a web engine search, you know that the person who has found was looking for information and is in a state of mind that is receptive to seeing your work; this is far better than sending out advertisements that may be ignored.

In addition, there are many free or nearly free ways that you can advertise your website and your business. Take a look at pay per click advertising, where you only pay if someone clicks the link that takes them to your website, or the use of social networks like Facebook. The communication structure of the internet is intensely viral; when one person find your website interesting and useful, he or she will link to it and then everyone who comes to their site will probably end up investigating yours.

When you have a business website, you will also find it much easier to network. People can see right away who you are and what your business is, and you will soon realize that many of the people looking into your site are interested in forming partnerships or working with you in some way.  Depending on what business you are in, you can learn about good suppliers and make excellent contacts in this fashion.

You may be concerned about your website because you've never built one before, but nothing could be easier!

Instead of having to "reinvent the wheel" you'll find that there's plenty of documentation and templates available for your use.  When you go to build your business's website, you'll find lots of source material that's just waiting for you to assemble it and then add the particulars of your business and your logos onto it. In today's world, your business needs a website in order to survive.  Make sure that your business doesn't get left behind!

Paid Surveys - Are They A Solution To Your Cash Flow Problems?

Posted on Feb 11, 2007 at 08:15 PM by Trevor Fooks | Comments (2)

Cash flow is the life blood of any business regardless of size. So even though the costs of running a work at home business are about as low as business costs can ever be, they still exist. Most newcomers will underestimate these business costs. To make the situation worse, it’s likely that a newcomer will have an exagerated idea of the potential of a work at home business.

Fortunately, there are some relatively simple ways to generate extra cash flow while getting your core business up to speed. One of the best ways to earn some extra cash is to join a popular paid survey site, such as SurveyScout.

Paid surveys are widely promoted as a great way to make money for stay at home moms and dads, students, retirees, unemployed people, and anyone ooking for an extra source of cash.

Let’s try to understand what a paid survey really is. The fact is that companies spend billions of dollars every year on what is commonly called market esearch. Success in business depends heavily on understanding your market, and knowing what your market wants. Market research today is extremely sophisticated, because the information gathered in this way can literally make or break a company.

A very common way and popular way to obtain information for market research is with surveys. Most people will have participated in a survey at some time or other. Surveys usually consist of a number of questions with multiple choice answers. Now, companies often spend vast sums of money hiring specialist market research companies to carry out surveys. The bigger companies will have their own market research departments. So it costs a lot of money to do market research, and it costs a lot of money to prepare and conduct statistically valid surveys. Companies will usually seek responses from at least one thousand respondents in order for the survey to have statistically validity. The more respondents the better, of course. Ideally a company would like to survey everyone in the market. However, a total market survey is generally not feasible due to the sheer cost of such an undertaking.

One of the methods companies use to gather survey data that is useful is by paying individuals to participate in the surveys. And this is where we come in. Paid surveys are a method used by many large companies to gather information for market research. The purpose of a paid survey membership site is to maintain a database of companies that offer paid surveys, and to distribute those paid surveys to members. In other words, your membership fee gives you easy access to paid surveys being distributed by large numbers of companies. Imagine how difficult and expensive it would be if you had to find all these companies yourself. It is the database of membership sites that makes it feasible to earn worthwhile money from paid surveys.

In simply terms, you complete the survey and the company pays you, usually by check. The more surveys you do, the more you earn. It’s still work, and in some respects it’s not much different to a job, but you can do the work at home, in your own time, and at your own pace.

So those people who claim that all paid survey sites are scams are misinformed. Some survey sites may indeed be scams, but there are scams in all walks of life. The better survey sites have been in business for a long time, and for good reason. They perform, and they keep their members happy.

“Can you make money with paid surveys?” Emphatically, yes! However, paid surveys are not going to make you rich. They are a way to earn some extra cash, and if you work at it, quite a lot of cash. But don’t expect more than that. They are very useful for anyone starting out with a work at home business that needs some extra cash flow while getting other more potentially lucrative areas of their business up to speed. And paid surveys are great for anyone who needs a simple easy way to get extra cash for any purpose. So as long as you understand the nature and limitations of paid surveys they really can be a great source of extra income. However, do stick with the more popular proven membership sites, like SurveyScout, and you can’t go wrong.

What are wire desk grommets?

I had a home business client (I'm an organizing consultant - A.K.A. a professional organizer) ask me the other day about wire desk grommets and whether I thought they would be the answer to keep all the cables, wires and cords in his home office organized.

I thought I would post my response to him in the hopes that it would provide a solution for other home business owners that had a similar problem.

Wire desk grommets are an ideal way to keep all your office cables, wires and cords organized. Wire desk grommets help direct the cables, wires and cords from all the stationary items on your desk like your telephone, computer and printer to the nearest outlet. In other words, wire desk grommets eliminate your current wire jungle by running everything through one neat and tidy grommet.

If that person told you the very truth: that the results are defined by your willingness to ACT upon what you read?

You might even think the person was insane for revealing it for free, but nothing could be further FROM the truth.

The market is big enough for all of us, so keep reading. :-)

Ebay is a great place for someone who has some "stuff" to sell. Once you have gotten your feet wet so to speak, you may be interested in opening up an Ebay store. This is a great idea around the holidays. What you need to do is visit Ebay yourself and see what people are buying. Ebay will list the best sellers for that week on the home page of their website, but a good rule of thumb is to find something inexpensive, fun, usable, go to Ebay and do a little bit of research. . .

I was also told that they had the technology to take this site to the top of the search engines, something everyone knows must happen to be successful.

How To Become A Great Article Writer

Posted on Aug 16, 2006 at 02:08 AM by Paul Strachan | Comments (0)

Writing and submitting articles is an effective marketing strategy to deliver targeted visitors, increase your rankings and boost sales. However, it is easy to equate article writing with onerous tasks such as writing high school or university essays. The memories of the pain involved in this form of writing can take time to fade away. The good news is that after learning a few simple steps, writing your own articles isn't as hard as it appears.

One of the biggest hurdles most new writers face is finding ideas to write about. The easiest way to begin is to write about things you are interested in and preferably passionate about. You already have knowledge in these areas which can be shared with others. It is easy to under-estimate your own abilities in areas you are experienced in. Talented people are often surprised by the level of questions novices ask (it is important to remember that there is no such thing as a stupid question - only stupid answers).

More and more people are using e-mail marketing in their business as a way to instantly contact hundreds if not thousands of prospects. However, few people fail to realize that there is a lot more to e-mail marketing than that.

E-mail marketing is no different than any other type of marketing, the same type rules apply. It is important to understand that e-mail marketing is just a tool and like any tool you must learn how to use it. Your goal should not be to make the sale, but to get the prospect to request additional information.

Most e-mail marketing is doomed from the start, in that over 90% of e-mails sent will never be read. Why is that?

Learn Online Forex Trading - Whats the broker Commission?

Learn Online Forex Trading - What is the broker commission in forex trading?

Welcome to another week in the world of forex trading..As you know the forex market opens on Sunday at 2 PM EST with opening of Aussie and Kiwi markets.

Now many of you know that their are broker commissions associated with the trades you make in stocks or futures or commodity trading. The commissions vary between $7 to $20 per trade depending on the broker you choose...

However it is said that in online forex trading there are no broker commissions..Is it true???

Not entirely..I agree there are no DIRECT COMMISSIONS associated. So, how do they brokers earn?? They earn on the basis of SPREADS between bid and ask price of a currency pair.

How?? let me give you an example - Each currency pair has a bid and ask price. Like lets say that EUR/USD has a

Bid price of - 1.3000
Ask Price of - 1.3003

So, if you have to buy the EUR you will

Opening a trade - So, in a particular trade, you will sell USD to buy EUR. This will open your trade.
Closing the trade - In our example, you'll sell EUR back to get your USDs
So, for e.g. the market rate is that 1EUR = 1.3000 USD. So, in our trade, you'll

The Pain and Pleasure Principle

Posted on Jul 5, 2006 at 05:44 AM by Paul Strachan | Comments (0)

The pain and pleasure principle, also known as the pleasure principal, is universal. It guides us in virtually everything we do, whether we are aware of it or not. Simply put, the pleasure principle states that people are driven to seek pleasure and to avoid pain. In other words, we are willing to do things that will bring us pleasure and we are unwilling to do things that will cause us pain. Sounds pretty obvious doesn't it?

It seems however that the two forces are out of balance. The avoidance of pain often wins from the desire to seek pleasure. Perhaps in the case of physical pain this seems logical, at least to a certain extent. But in most cases we're not talking about physical pain. Most often people choose to do things, or rather not to do certain things, in order to avoid emotional pain. Some people go even further and simply state that people avoid pain, they don't seek pleasure. People may know very well that in order to achieve certain results they desire, something needs to be done. They may even have a high degree of certainty that doing that something will indeed produce the desired result. But if that something makes them feel bad or even slightly uncomfortable, they're out. Of course logically this doesn't make any sense. Rationally we know that we can get to C is we just put A and B together. But the fact is: we are not as rational as we sometimes claim to be. Human beings are mainly emotional creatures. We take decisions emotionally and then we try to back them up with logic.

Ebay and Beads - A Great way to monetise a Hobby.

Posted on Jun 25, 2006 at 03:21 PM by Michael Ralph | Comments (0)

Whether you already enjoy making jewelry, or just want to learn how, your first stop should be at a bead store. You can visit a local bead store or find one online. Just make sure you have plenty of time to browse.

Beads come in hundreds of shapes, sizes and colors. Beads can be made of glass, metal, bone, plastic and even paper. Some beads are made from expensive gemstones, while others are common wood. Seeds, shells and found objects are also items that bead store might make into beads. Glass and acrylic beads mix with Swarovski crystal and Czech crystal.

Along with beads, one of these stores usually carries findings, clasps, watch faces and other components for creating beautiful jewelry. If you are lucky, your bead store will also offer classes in jewelry making, beading on a loom, and beading on cloth. You may learn to bead for fun or even profit.

You should look through your supplies and make a list of items that you need, or want before visiting a bead store. If you are looking for a particular bead, take a sample of it with you to the bead store. Think about what projects you have planned. Add any special beads or findings that you will need to your list. Carry a backpack purse so that both of your hands are free to look through beads.

Ask the sales clerk if there are any specials or sales going on. Also ask if they give discounts to members of bead societies. It may be worth joining if you enjoy beads. If you bead, or make jewelry for profit, and have a tax id number let the salesperson know before they ring up your sale. Remember to bring a copy of your tax certificate if you have one. This allows you to purchase beads and other supplies from a bead store at wholesale instead of retail cost.

After you get home sort your beads. A good desk lamp will help you identify patterns and colors more easily. Most people sort by color, shape and size. Uniformity may also be a factor to consider. If you are like most people that visit a bead store, you have more beads than you need, just because they caught your eye. Part of the fun is coming up with new projects to use up the beads that you find at the bead store.

Follow designs in books, online, or that you have previously made. Come up with new designs of your own. Use up the beads that you bought and list the items on Ebay, you will be amazed at how much these items can go for because people are genuinely interested in unique items which by definition yours are and are willing to pay for it. They don't need to know what it cost you to make, make your money and then repeat with another visit to the bead store.

Study Shows Your Retirement Depends On Your Entrepreneurship

Posted on Jun 24, 2006 at 03:13 AM by Matt Z. | Comments (1)

Be honest, are you one of those people not taking your retirement seriously? Do you think the government or your job will pay your way during your retirement years?

I sincerely hope not. There are plenty of signs that this just isn’t going to happen. The government is broke, so how long is it going to be able to keep handing out those $1000/month checks to people? And what is $1000/month going to get you anyway if you’re retiring ten, twenty or thirty years from now?

How many stories of broke pension plans do you need to hear to convince you that your job most likely isn’t going to help much either? There was a recent government study that put this whole retirement issue in perspective and it makes retirement look pretty scary for most people. Here is what the study shows:

Will Adsense Last ?

Posted on Jun 21, 2006 at 06:07 AM by aanbar hassan | Comments (0)

this is both a post and a question!
over the last few months, many people got Rich off of the internet, and the ways that they used are so many, they sold products, they became affiliates and sold other people's stuff! either way is good and made so many people Rich!
But the most significant breakthrough is Adsense, it's certainly the easiest way to make money over the internet, that's because you only have to insert ads on your webpages and get a certain amount of money when someone clicks on the them!
i'm not trying to promote anything here, i'm just wondering (myself) about this somehow Great Idea and thank the Guy or the people at Google who came up with it!
but the problem is that lots and lots of internet marketers created Ebooks, pieces of software and many other applications that revolve around Adsense, but the weird thing was the Boom of Adsense Ready websites, that seemed to be the Easiest way to earn money through Adsense! thousands of Pages, with lots of ready content, you just have to buy and upload, and see the money come in, but that is not gonna last simply because of the so called duplicate content; Search engines ban websites with such content ! so here's another problem with this Fast and Simple approach to making money, Content!
other people who are smarter created software that made building websites a lot easier, not any kind of websites, but websites made For Adsense or what is known as MFA's.
you just choose a topic and let the software do the work for you, it gathers articles from websites all over the internet and puts them in HTML format and there you are, you got a website, ready to be uploaded.
are these "techniques" working well ? i asked some people and told me that it is actually working if you spend some time and work on your ready websites!
sure all these things are Great, but will they Last ?

The first key to making more money from your Affiliate Marketing Business is to "increase your 'market reach' ".
That is, you need more exposure among your targeted audience. Your internet business needs to be in front of as many potential customers as it possibly can be.
Out there in cyberspace somewhere are all of the customers who would ever possibly be interested in your products.
There is a maximum number of people out there who have the potential of doing business with you.
Your job is to find as many of them as humanly possible. You want your marketing to reach as many of those who might do business with you.
Now, there is a simple formula that you can use to measure how well you are reaching your potential customers.
The formula for market reach on the internet looks like this…
Site Traffic + List Size = Market Reach
Just on sheer numbers alone, growing your business is based on how many visitors arrive at your website and how many subscribers you have on your list.
For example:
All things equal, 10,000 website visitors will generate
more profits for you than 1,000 visitors.
All things equal, 25,000 opt-in subscribers will generate
more profits for you than 5,000 opt-in subscribers.

Create Email Newsletters , easy to use. aweber.com

You need more market reach than you currently have.
More website traffic and a larger list.
This is the number one aspect of growing your internet home based business and profits.

Examples:

What did I enjoy about school?
What scared me?
What did I wish I'd known from Day 1?

Following are the basic steps in setting up for home business success.

1. Attitude

The key to your business success is your attitude.

Treat your business like a business.

This is critical whether you are working part-time or full-time. One of my colleagues is a mother who works from home around her family. She has always put her family first whilst at the same time developing her business. She says, "I work part-time, but I have a full-time attitude."

Before You Do Anything: Try It Out

So you know, roughly, what you want your home business to be. Before you go any further and start investing, though, you need to try it out. Here’s how.

Build a Prototype.

If you plan to sell physical things, or you’re going to do something like starting a website or making software, then you should build a prototype to see how your idea will work out. A prototype is a version of your product that is built quickly by you alone, and serves to show that your idea is feasible in the real world. If it would be too expensive to build the whole thing, then just building the new part that differentiates you from your competitors is good enough.
