The Best TV Show Ever

In college, we were told that cable would expand to include more than two hundred channels in the very near future. My teacher must have known what he was talking about, because it happened not long after he made his prediction. There are so many channels now that it is still sometimes impossible to find something really good. Sometimes, there are many good things, and you have to choose. This is much different from when I was growing up, and you knew when your favorites were on, and you made a date to watch them. One that I loved was Little House On the Prairie.

The 59th Cannes, May 17th - 28th

If you didn't there's still a little time for you to arrange for some prime celebrity spotting, although it you wanted a press pass I'm afraid you've missed the deadline.

So what can we expect? 2006 Cannes will present 55 films representing 30 countries, 48 world premieres, 20 feature films from 13 countries with 8 debut films.

Independent Film v Hollywood

This years Sundance film festival has brought an overwhelming amount of Hollywood stars to Salt Lake City to participate in the event. A film festival where once only independent and reasonably unknown filmmakers roamed is now home to a good chunk of Hollywood. Hollywood actors show up in more and more films, and some Hollywood heavy hitters show up in the crew credits as well.
