Find Inspiration for Killer Songwriting

When listening to a well-written song (or a poorly written one), you might believe that you are just as capable of doing the same thing. So you decide to put pen to paper and start writing. But as you sit there, staring at the empty page, your mind goes completely blank. All those great ideas you had seconds before are gone. What happened? And how can you get it back? What is the Nature of Art?

The question I get asked the most is "Where do you get your ideas to start painting"?

The answer is really rather vague, because it's more of a feeling than an idea in the beginning.

I mean sure, I can mix up some colors and knock out a scene painting in about an hour if requested, but is that really answering the question? Is that really Art?

So You Wanna Be A Songwriter?

I will be writing more articles on song writing as we go forward. This is the first.
But I have written many songs. At my most prolific I wrote easily five songs/day. And if I wasnt so bloody busy I would still be doing the same.
