Why should I use Blastoff as my home page?

Posted in Computers, Networking on Oct 5 at 08:54 AM by Ellen Le Masurier

What a great question! Actually I asked myself the same thing when I first heard about the Blastoff Network.

Following are the reasons why I'm using Blastoff as my personal home page.

First off, the Blastoff Network is poised to do something that no Internet company ever has.

They have created a fully customizable web page that can be tailored to your personal interests. This portal into cyberspace personally gives me all the information I want on a daily basis - news, weather, movies, music, TV, online games etc. Plus, I can tie in all my social networking tools into this one simple, easy to use web page that doesn't cost me a dime!

I honestly believe Blastoff will one day be one of the biggest success stories on the Internet and be just as common place as Google, Yahoo, Facebook, and Twitter. Speaking of Twitter, did you know that it grew to over fifty million users in hardly any time at all?

Choosing Appropriate Bridal Shower Outfits

Posted in Family, Family Life on Oct 29 at 06:20 AM by Christopher Smith

When Mom and Grandma attended bridal showers in their younger days, you'd always see them getting all dressed up to go. Depending on the venue of the shower and the kind of shower it is, you can wear anything from jeans and shorts to dresses or even hula skirts. The only way to choose a bridal shower outfit these days is by finding out the type of event it's going to be so that you can dress accordingly.

Do you like popcorn?

Posted in Health, Cancer on Nov 6 at 09:26 AM by Perriann Rodriguez

When I go to the movies, I have to have popcorn. Several times I have thought to myself that I wouldn't buy popcorn this time, only to go get some at the last minute before the movie starts.

It just goes with movies. The movie experience is not as good if you don't have popcorn. Yes I know about all the calories, etc. in popcorn. I usually adjust my calories during the day to accommodate all those extra calories.

Sometimes, when I watch movies at home, I will make some microwave popcorn to eat. Just read something very disturbing that might change that habit real quick.

The Beauty of Engineered Hardwood Floors

Posted in Home, Home Improvement on Nov 6 at 06:20 AM by Christopher Smith

Although natural hardwood floors have been around for a long time, modern engineered hardwood flooring has become a more popular option. The way engineered flooring is manufactured gives it characteristics that aren't inherent in natural hardwoods. It is also much less expensive to install in your home, and it can even be used in places, such as basements, where moisture is a problem.

Pedal go karts are cool! Built to look like the real thing, your little one can enjoy zooming around just like the big boys. With real high-backed racer-like seats and large, anti-slip pedals, you can buy karts that are chain driven with safe hand brakes. Children as young as 3 can easily operate the smaller-sized go karts, and there are sizes to fit children up to age 16 as well as some for people of all ages. Therefore, if you yourself are a go kart racing buff, you can start your children out young and allow them to grow up in the sport. These kiddie-sized go karts are loaded with features to give children more control as they rule the neighborhood sidewalks.

8 Steps to Raising Passive Funds For a Not For Profit Organization

Posted in Society, Current Events on Nov 1 at 02:12 PM by Ellen Le Masurier

Could your not for profit organization benefit from a passive funding source that builds over time?

If you're looking for a fresh and creative approach to not for profit fundraising then I may have just the thing to help bring in a steady cash flow now and for years to come.

First let me ask you two questions...

How many of your supporters spend time online?
I'm guessing quite a few of them.

How many of your supporters also shop online?
Maybe not quite as many as those who spend time online but this number will likely increase as people become more confident and comfortable with the safety of shopping online, and discover the benefits of saving both time and money.

Ways you can use Golf Tournament Logos

Posted in Sports, Golf on Oct 24 at 02:45 PM by Christopher Smith

When you sponsor a golf tournament, you will find infinite uses for golf tournament logos. These can be the logos of the club where the tournament is being held, logos of sponsors who make the tournament possible, special logos created just for the event, or logos of the charities that everyone is playing for. Logos on items such as golf shirts can provide a good way to bring everyone together for a common cause, even if you're dealing with a diverse group of strangers. Sponsors love it when they see their logo on the golf balls or tees you pass out to tournament players, and golf signs with logos along the tournament route provide extra kudos to those who so generously financed the event.
